Hello people, was planned for last year but after some of the upgrades to my house took longer than thought, i put it off and have decided to put some trips togther for next year instead.
What I'm offering is what many of the nurburgring tour operators do but at a much cheaper price and with a more relaxed attitude.
I own a 4 bedroom house in a small town called Dumpelfeld which is about 3km from adenau and about 12km from the track. We have 8 beds, 2 per room, and later in the year when the loft conversion is done i will have more.
Me and my Dad have been going for 23 years now and have built up a wealth of knowledge of the viewing points, places to eat and drink etc etc.
Trips out there seem to a very popular thing these days and as such I'm sure many of you have already been and don't feel the need to be 'shown' anything but I'm sure out rates will seem attractive non the less.
Price is £250 for a car with 1 passenger for 3 nights bed and breakfast, ferry return crossing and your first lap. We try to keep it all friendly relaxed and unstructured so its still able to be a trip that each individual party can enjoy in their own way.
Dates are to be confirmed, there are likely to be about 10 trips in 2011. I can however confirm there will be a trip for the Oldtimers GP. This one however will be mainly lead by my father as i will be part of a team running an old CanAm car at the OGP that weekend.
This is a kind of 'test the water' post to see if there was any interest. I understand that many will prefer the idea of just booking a hotel but I'm sure some would like the idea of having the run of a big detached house with a garage for tinkering etc.
Your thoughts and suggestions will be greatfully recieved and if anyone wishes to express interest in these trips then please let me know.
