This is the 150BHP F7R engine and was the top of the range model back in 1996.

I bought this car from another Megane owners club member earlier in the year to replace another Megane. Since I have had it its had all the brakes, a lambda sensor and thermostat replaced. New oil, filter and sump plug, new spark plugs and cam cover gasket.

Made 136bhp at the wheels at a RR in November

Bad points
The paint isnt brilliant but isnt bad for a 14 year old car. The worst bit is on the OSF corner (see pics) and some bubbling paint on the OSR arch.
The sump was helicoiled and is leaking ever so slightly.
Leaking coolant, leak is not obvious but does not appear to be the headgasket and has not overheated.

Bump. Still have this, made some changes to the advert as it now has more tax and has been RR'd. Now looking for £500 ono, could be tempted by either something slightly larger like a Laguna or smaller that the other half can use to learn to drive in.

Found the leak today, it was the thermostat seal. New one fitted and now no leak
