This..... ....was taken at Sneachill, on the A44 just outside Worcester. It was half-buried in the undergrowth there for years until about 18 months ago. Poor old thing must have come out of there in pieces. Here's an abandoned Chrysler product (or even Avenger by-product) in a similar state. Lain unused in a front garden on the A41 just eat of Aylesbury town centre for years, but disappeared a couple of years ago when the house was demolished and rebuilt. This used to always be parked in a factory car park next door to a patternmakers I occasionally deliver to in Halesowen. Haven't seen it in a good 12 months now, though. Saw this on the M25 ages ago. Cool as! Saved the best until last. I haven't been down that way for a while, but this gorgeous Harrington Le Mans Alpine was a regular sight in a Bishop's Stortford backstreet, suggesting it was in daily use. Just how I like to see 'em.

Ok I take it back it was Rootes, Built with Chrysler money though. The Gold 4 door Avenger is indeed the one on the A44,I tried to buy it about ten years ago from the old dear in the shop who said it belonged to her son(who also owned the Fiat next to it) I left my number but never got a call,I went back 12 months or so after and the shop was boarded up but the cars still there, not been down there for years though. Shame its gone though all the same, just think what the Fiat was like then when they dragged that out!! Lovin the pics so far, anyone got any Rapier/Alpine pics?

I wanna use an Arrow series car as a project base in the future, preferably one with steel chassis rails/floorpans rather than newspaper/fibreglass and filler like my old one.

Saw this on the M25 ages ago. Cool as! That's Malcolm Anderson, the Imp specialist. My old man had a Avenger estate identical to that green one! Haven't seen one in that colour for years. Neighbours thought we were mad because I had a black GT, a yellow gl and a orange base model too as well as an Imp. It looked like a Rootes forecourt outside our house, only non Rootes car was a Mazda 1800 sedan.. There's a light blue Harrington local to me which is a daily, kept out in all weathers. I dare say Bryn might have a pic of it somewhere.

I'm trying to remember if the plate was the same (I'd been awake 29 hours by the time I saw it) but I swear I saw this on the M4 yesterday: Cool beans This one was mine: As was this: ...and a bit older but still Rootes: --Phil

Humber pick up's been posted before but well worth another look. Be interesting to know how it was done as they were monocoque as far as I'm aware. Anyone any ideas? Some great pics on this thread!

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.
