Up for grabs my 1998 Passat. I am the second owner, having bought the car in 2000 from a dealership. Current mileage is circa 118k.Dealership history stamped till 70k, thereafter serviced by local mechanic. Engine is a 1.9tdi and its a SE spec, which has climate control, velour upholstery and CD pack over standard spec. Tax - 03/11 and MOT 9/2011. Car is standard apart from 18" alloys (225/40/18 tyres with lots of thread) and been lowered using eibach springs. The ride is very nice and comfortable and not harsh as this was a daily driver until recently. Change of job means car is surplus to requirements.lack of use has resulted in key fob no longer operating the c/locking as it needs new battery and reset by VW. Sometimes the drivers door lock does not fully operate central locking...I just use boot lock which does the trick (told that its a common issue with VW's of this vintage). It has new shocks and battery fitted last summer. Cosmetically the car is straight, no rust whatsover and returns superb mileage. There are a few scratches on the bodywork (not dents), which don't bother me, but best to point out. t has to go in next 2 weeks as insuarnce lapses. Asking price is £1350 ono.
