Engine
- 205k miles and in use daily so may increase a little
- 1870cc diesel - 102 or 115bhp renault engine.
- Serviced this week (oil and fuel filter) using geniune volvo parts.
- No smoke, no excess use of oil. bit of a whine from turbo, but good boost (gauge fitted) *been like this since I got it*
- Thermostat and coolant change afew weeks ago.
- In my ownership, serviced approx every 6000miles at no expense spared.
- Timing belt, water pump, belts, pulleys changed 12months ago (aint got mileage to hand, approx 185k)
- Clutch, dual mass flywheel and slave fitted approx 18-20months ago.
Interior
- Black leather interior
- Drivers seat bloster as some wear, split slightly
- Few marks, scratches, pen marks to interior as expected for a 10yr old car.
- Steering wheel flaking (cover fitted)
- Usual volvo refinements, lights in sunvisors, glovebox, boot, foot wells etc.
Drivetrain
- Recent front wishbone fitted
- Rear heavy duty towing springs fitted
- Anti roll bar bushes replaced approx 12months ago.
- Anti roll bar drop links replaced approx 6months ago.
- Front discs and pads changed in 2010
- Rear discs replaced late 2009
- Just fitted a set of rear pads this week.
- 2 rear calipers fitted within last 18months
Bodywork / General
- Paint work could do with a good polish
- Few chips and marks as expected with 10yr old car.
- Dent in front edge of bonnet/grill from pheasant.
- BBS 16" Alloy wheels. (sought after) some kerb rash and corrison.
- 4 good tyres. 1 recent december 2010. 2 front in summer 2010.
- Bonnet cable snapped (common fault) but able to open manually
- 2 remote key fobs
- owners manuals, docs, service booklet etc
- haynes manual (for petrol but body is the same)
- some reciepts and paperwork from my ownership
Summary
Honest reliable diesel estate car, not without its faults but described honestly. Used daily for work, also taken me around the UK collecting classic cars with my trailer. I'm second owner (logbook says 3 due to prev owner been company then personal), looked after at no expense spared. Only for sale due to money issues, smaller car sought (cheaper insurance). Bit of TLC and it could be a beauty, but good honest comfortable family work horse in my eyes.
I'm getting 38-40mpg knocking around the doors, with the car loaded with tools/toolbox for work. Over 50mpg on a run to yorkshire (to see family).
Viewing/test drive welcome subject to appropiate insurance etc. I can demo the car for you otherwise.
Be quick as its going on ebay, trader, ad mag later this week, need a quick sale before insurance renewal comes through.
Will take some new pictures this week.
Car is in the north east, could deliver at cost.
