just back from Sportwagen in Sarfend Essex who removed vast quantaties of crunchy orangeness from the hidden depths , mirrors to follow.. , its a sod to see out of. ;D

cheers guys , need to do some proper pics .. a bit grubby but..

As I'm stupid tall I had the seatrails removed from the drivers side to help with headroom on track (love a track day) , as well as a sunroof delete like mr teaboy , loads of room now..
Recaro SPG XL's for the larger gentleman , Momo 07 wheel , appbiz rear seat delete RS carpet set and door cards ,etc etc , Ruf mirrors currently being fettled

;D toyed with the idea but so far its a no ,also still using standard seatbelts , am tempted though , does fitting a cage not balls up the insurance ?

Had it 3 yrs now and hadnt really spent much on it other than oil/tyres /brakes etc , as it had lived ungaraged for those 3 yrs it had started to look a bit tatty so went in for some bodywork , turned into a bit of a moneypit then , will post some pics..
Now its fitted with Bilstein clubsport dampers its pretty firm when pootling about , but then thats not what its for

I'm not sure? I guess it depends on your policy and/or insurance company?

I know with my orange e21 I had to notify my insurance company of all the mods after the car had been in a few magazines. I didn't want to find myself as 'uninsured' for not mentioning something. Anyway, even with everything I've changed the premium only rose my £30 or so. Obviously, I'll get paid if the unthinkable happens too!

I've been thinking of what I would get if I sold my orange BMW? I have always wanted an 80's 911 in either black or Grand Prix white. I would want it modified like yours and Teaboys. I'd have a white rear cage and blue harnesses too tho and BBS split-rims. A sort of variation on 1973 RS type of thing. More ducktail than whaletail.

I spy a nice exhaust tailpipe on your car. Does it sound as good as it looks? If ever you fancy a swap? ;D

This is what it looked like when I first had it

resplendent in its white socks , changed the white 6" and 7" wheels for some turbo 7"s and 8"s , filled the arches much nicer.

Deffo preferring the cleaner look after removing the front fogs/side repeaters/flag mirrors/headlamp washers etc.
Offered up one of the Ruf mirrors today , what do you reckon?

Liking the mirrors. Just bought Engellmans for my BM.

Had Spa to myself too, last time I was there. I was in a diesel Austin Montego though! Funnily enough, I was there as a team member running Richard Westbrook ( Porsche Supercup champ ) in the Opel Euroseries.
