my mate has a ford cargo truck that is used as a car transporter for his own use.while the truck is in very good condition the engine isnt.now as the lump is big and heavey and diesel isnt cheap anymore and neither are truck engines, so while kicking ideas around we started thinking about petrol engines. so a quick look on the internet and theres quite a few yank v8s in budget and theres lots of room to stick a big lpg tank down the side of the truck. we will have more bhp but is it the right bhp to power a truck? i can also see gearing being a proplem. so is this a viable idea?or we overlooking something major,

i love carbs but for power its got to be injection/throttle bodies a set of twin 40s sound nice but unless you keep on top of them they go out of tune and use more fuel and in the winter...... injection you plug the laptop in you can see what needs doing you do it and it stays fixed.

oh my god this takes me back i bought this system brand new in the mid 80s when i was in germany it was the dogs and cost a arm and a leg! i had matching speakers think they where tx-7s that sat in pods on the back shelf and some front door speakers was nice and loud and sounded nice even though its low powered compared to todays stuff only proplem was fitting it all in the car!! off on holiday in 3 hrs for a couple of weeks else might be tempted if its still here when i get back still might be tempted thanks for the memories and free bump.

ive just made this choice i had 206 petrol 1.4 and a 306 1.9 turbo diesel both cars 3 door, simalar miles, condition, both on t plates, now i like diesel but as it was about costs ive kept the petrol the 206 does 42mpg while the diesel does 50 sometimes 55 but with petrol 6p a liter cheaper the petrol is cheaper to run
