	This is usually a good show with a lot of Cars and club stands. It normally costs 5 pounds to enter and starts at 10.00 and ends at 17.00 . I will hopefully be there in my Trabant, feel free to come and have a chat and a nose around the car.

	As for doing the bottom half a different colour, a lot of cars in the 90's uesd vinyl on the lower panels. Mybe that would be easier and cheaper than re spraying?

	These later trabi's can be made to look like the 2 stroke version by swapping some panels bumpers and back lights. And it's just a simple nut & bolt job.

	Trabant rims are 4x160 and 13x4 so there would be space for PCD adapters.

	I had a FTO mivec for six years and in that time I had to replace the alternater twice. Thay can make the motor do all sorts of strange things when thay start to go.

	Seen this on trabantforums, as for 2 stroke oil I use shell semisynthetic at 50:1. Just run until you get to the reserve and then tip 1/2 Ltr In the tank and fill up.

	Thanks for explain how it's done, I wanted to check the timing on mine. I split the crank cace on my spare motor and found that the bearing on the flywheel end had failed. This had marked the top of the piston and head but not damaged the Piston rings or cylinder walls. And it appears that the rest of the bottom end is ok, just need to clean it all up fit a new bearing. I would like to have a go at a bit of porting & pollishing on this lump. Never done it before so I will have to do some homework. The idea of a jet ski motor sounds good, for now I would like to keep a trabi lump in mine and tweek it, mybe not quite to the extent of my friends racing trabi in Hungry as much fun as it would be, I don't think I could put up with almost single figure fule consumption.
