Just picked up my new "to me" motor. Its a lovely 1994 VW Golf VR6. With on 56k on the clock. These are just some quick pictures, will get better ones when I have had a chance to get it detailed. Its 100% original and hasnt been messed with, left in its standard condition. A recent back injury has forced me to get an Automatic car, but after seeing this lovely Red Bullet I have a big smile on my face. 12 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 11 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 8 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 4 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 3 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 19 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 17 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 15 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 14 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 10 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 9 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 7 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 6 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 1 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr 18 by Lloyd.Fulton, on Flickr Thanks

Thanks mate, not sure, tempted to dump it on the ground and put some nice wide BBS's on it, but then again a part of me thinks it would be a shame to mess with it. Keep it standard and protect its value.... not sure what to do, ideas?

Don't **** about with that , you'll just ruin it. Keep it as it is , it's a very very nice car.

Yeah insurance is cheaper, but not because its an Auto, don't think that would make any difference, but because I got it insured on a classic car policy.

That's very very clean for a mk3 Golf. Stick it on coilies - there are loads out there for mk3 Golfs. Also invest in a decent induction setup - the vr with a standard airbox is a little like the equivalent of an amazing singer performing at Wembley with a £5.99 Argos toy microphone. It just doesn't do the soundtrack justice! You'll get addicted to the sound of it from then on - just watch out for right foot + fuel gauge if your budget is tight - my old one was a thirsty beast on most town/short journeys!

Thanks mate for the info, i only have to drive 3miles to work so fuel hasnt been an issue for now, but you never know with a heavy right foot it might be soon.

Your new Golf is in exceedingly good condition, I haven't seen one as good as this for years.
An automatic VR6 is an intriguing proposition and I like the sound of it; it's like a mini GT car.

Need to replace the wheels, as these ones badly need a refurb, will be keeping them as spares. Found these Black Compomotive TH Mono 16x8, Not sure what black alloys would look like on a red Golf, please give your thoughts/ideas? Cheers

I think those wheels would look great on your VR6.

Great cara, induction set up really helps them breath. I got almost 40mpg out of mine once. Still regret getting rid of it. I put 17 " Audi TT comps on mine

Pm sent mate.
TT comps are one of my favourite wheels for a mk3, but the monos that, you have picked out are a good choice.
