That's great! Love the matching interior, brilliant! Has it got a USA spec headlight arrangement, or is it the same as European models?

Cool! If it is a US-Spec car it will have sealed beams on it. How an American version 240 ended up in Europe is puzzling tho. I'd imagine it also has Air Conditioning, right?

Theres lots of yank tin in Europe bought over by U.S airmen serving over here. Go to East Anglia in the U.K and the roads are full of 1980's and 1990's Americana driven by the locals!

Sure, but why bring a Volvo back to Europe? Back in the 70s and 80s European cars were much cheaper to buy in Europe than America, even if you optioned them out to American levels. Plus they tended to be much slower as our emission controls really strangled them.

jup, it's deffo a us import, because i had a looksee under the bonnet of this car, and it's fuel injected AND like 100.000 hoses for EGR etc. etc. Most us import cars are here because of 2 reasons: - army thing said before - zero rust on body (but cracked interior and worn bushings, which can be swapped over from a nice rotten euro version )

I'm looking for the twin square headlights. No airco unit... But power windows, central locking and decent lowering are in sight!

American spec cars are very easy to identify, just look in the driver's door jamb, by law they have to have a compliance sticker, says something to the effect of "This vehicle meets all federal safety and emissions standards...etc" A Canadian car will have a similar sticker on it but there will be a Maple Leaf in a circle. Being a 1975, that car would not have had the quad headlamps, it would have had 1 large round one on each side... like this one: I assume you want one like this, right? 75s are kind of unique.. they had the B20F in them if I recall and were the only 240s sold in America without a Catalyst. Well, without an Oxygen Sensor anyways, they may have had Catalysts, I don't recall.

The hood on the twin headlamp car are not the same. The "ducknose" hood as we call it in Sweden are available on all 260 models, 240 GLT/GLE 1984-85 and 240 GL 1985. But with the twin "US lamps" you need to use a grille for the ducknose that is from 1980 or older. If you want to keep your flathood and use the twin "US lamps", you should go for a 240 grille from any model (except DL and GT) from 1979 or 80. The hoods on 200-series are actually the same 1975-85, even if the rest of the front end on euro spec cars are changed in 1981 (US cars kept the old front until 1985), so it will fit. 1986-93 has a different cowl and hood though, won't fit older models (or, it will fit but look terrible).
Never seen that kind of interior. Must be US-spec only. Vinyl or leather?

Interior looks like Vinyl to me, it's splitting on the passenger's seat the same way that Volvo vinyl seats tend to.
Except for the odd GL or Turbo, I have never seen a 240 Wagon in America without Vinyl. You would see cloth on Sedans, but never seen it on a wagon.
Sill quite surprised that it does not have Air Con!

We didn't get any full vinyl trims on 240s here (except for the rear seat in cop cars, lol) in Sweden. 1975 the "cheapest" interior in Sweden had vinyl on the sides but cloth in the middle, then there was a full cloth interior, another full cloth interior with a more luxurious cloth, and leather, to choose between. That interior looks quite OK in my eyes.

No idea why a U.S serviceman would import a 245 to Europe if it would make more sense to buy one over here. I'm sure I heard it was free for them to bring their daily driver over. TBH most of what was bought over was a bit rubbbish, 1980's tat.
A while ago I bought a Hyundai Stellar from a retired U.S airman. Hed come over, met an English girl and settled down, buying a "sensible" RHD car. I dunno, these Yanks. They come over, steal our women and tatty cars e.t.c
Sorry going a bit OT there!

The Vinyl that they used on US cars wore quite well, but in Places like Florida the sun and heat still took a good 10 years to damage em.
I'd love to see a cloth/vinyl split interior, we never got that over here. One of the cars on my "Projects to do" list is to grab an early 90s or late 80s 240 Wagon and throw a 940 Turbo manual drivetrain in it.
