Ohh that looks far better than I thought it would. I would have kept the bodykit blue tbh but I'm glad to say it looks good now that it's done! Now, where did those 17" Teles go? The price of those things have meant I'm likely going 5x100 on my 156 as finding the right wheels is impossible. The satin metallic grey should bring some aggression to the lower apron without making it look too sports car like. The original GTV, early one's all had a black lower apron it's just the later cars and cup kitted ones that were color coded. I think the darker skirts and lip will age the car a bit which for me is a good thing. As for Tele's I still have the one's originally off of this car. No tires on the fronts and some curbing and the rears are immaculate with minimal life left in the tires 3/4mm. No idea what the sell for can imagine they are quite sort after as 5x98 is one of those complicated PCD's. looks superb that low, if slightly impractical/non mot able ;D id go for the same rims at the back as you have, but get some wider rubber to fill the arch/wheel a bit more. a look less stretch would look loads better on the back with the big rounded alfa wings ;D Highly impractical mate yes! Luckily you lot just get to look at it. The grief of driving it is all mine ;D Yeh I definitely want more rubber on the rears sadly those rear wings are deceptive and there isn't a lot of room to tuck tire up behind those arch lips at all so I'm going to have to really fiddle to find the optimal setup, Ideally want a tire only slightly narrower than stock and a nice chunky sidewall as the current one's are a bit extreme Depressingly the poor girl is currently in hibernation back in Somerset as I am away at university in Swansea and don't feel the need to have her with me.

I thought you had sold the alloys to Bryn! I didn't think you'd still have them. Like we've both mentioned, they're sought after and expensive, and much as I'd like to find a set for a ton, they can get up to £250 in good condition, from what I've seen. There isn't much in 5x98, that's why I've started looking at 5x100, but not liking what I see there either!

There isn't much in 5x98, that's why I've started looking at 5x100, but not liking what I see there either! Most folk tend to prefer the colour coded ones they look a lot more modern that way, I just find with the kit fitted and color coded and a spoiler it looked way to super car'ish and with the 2.0 doesnt really have the bite to match the bark..no matter how good the bark sounds ;D I've seen them up for as much as £600 with tires before. A set for under 100 is unlikely unless you buy them in bad condition individually and refurb them. Or buy a set of 17" Selespeed 3spokes and I'll happily trade you my 17" Teledials for them because I like ugly wheels. ;D It looks amazing mate. Love it! I want back in one again! Thank you mate. These cars really get under your skin don't they ? I've lost some more fake chrome on the grille, now a satin silver and the mesh is a nice glossy black. Please excuse the stone chips and a new badge has been bought but it didnt turn up in time before my departure to Wales. ugh I miss it.

www.g23engineering.co.uk/They were £55 pound per corner made and delivered. 4x98 to 5x112 might be a bit difficult as the PCD's may just over lap.

I awoke her from her slumber the other day  Say what you want about Alfa's, she started first time after being stood for nearly 4 months  Plan is to fit a new Radiator, expansion tank and coolant and possibly a new CV joint and Driveshaft over Christmas. If we get any dry weather I may attempt to finally panel bond the bodykit and Re-paint the headlight roundels the same satin silver as the grille surround for a bit more continuity and because the dark lamps are a bit too dark for the dark blue paint. Going to try take her for a few decent drives and then lock her away until Easter.

Bought 2x Impreza fitment Wolfrace wheels that are almost exactly the look I want but can't get another two, typical.

Always loved the look of these. My Mrs nearly bought a black twin-spark with tan leather interior but someone beat her to it. Even better to see one being tweaked.

Drift spec mis matched wheels front and rear may be the only solution ? Always loved the look of these. My Mrs nearly bought a black twin-spark with tan leather interior but someone beat her to it. Classic shape Imprezas are yep, but the CB is too small so most wheels made for them, even aftermarket, are a few mm too small for the alfa. I'll step up my search again if you still have your teledials, I need something to replace the 16"s before the shame of undersized wheels overtakes me!

Sump is all sorted now.
Fresh lot of oil, new filters, new plugs, rocker gasket.
Just need to spend some time cleaning all the excess oil from the block try and get the bay up to scratch.
Still need a few bits to do for summer: - A new radiator and expansion tank - New badges all around - Going to smooth the 'mazdaspeed' embossed text off of the wheels. paint them a soft satin silver. I'm then going draw a BBS Turbo fan style lattice replacing the BBS logo with a Rays logo and getting them printed on a vinyl plotter to transfer them onto the wheels. -fully polybushed - Use the same silver as the wheels on the grille surround and headlamp roundels - lacquer the zender kit some more and refit
then never drive anywhere other than on flat surfaces.

Thank you mate. 100% purist approved As and when I do ever require the handling for a B-raod blast. 30mins with the C-spanner a change of wheels and off I go. any excuse to tinker.
