we have threads on here about how rare certain cars are all the time. the 'OMG 2 left!!' type threads. then, we have the 'how many left' thread full of quite dubious information about how many are actually left. but, there are some cars that have a pretty horrendous survival rate. i know, i own one. the vauxhall victor FC 101 series. apparently 219,814 FC and 13,449 VX4/90 variants produced in the 4 years between 1964-1967. being VERY generous with the numbers on 'how many left', and assuming all 'deluxes' are FCs and none of them FBs of FDs, and then even doubling the figures to give any around pre-sorn and are still sat in barns/garages/sheds, there cant be more than 500 left in the country. not factoring in the fact a lot my have gone for export and still be going in other countries, thats a pretty dysmal 0.02% survival rate. for a car that was a very popular car in its time, and certianly not a fringe model, i find it quite amazing really. theres little internet presence by any owners, and pretty much no modified ones. indeed, after starting my build thread of mine on here, I'm quite far up the hits when you search on google! so, what do you own that was once massively popular and is now quite obscure?

i would say that Mk1 Granadas are pretty damn rare, especially Coupes i have only ever seen 1 coupe on the road, which i now know is off the road in a barn i dare say there are still a few kickin about, but you don't see them often, not even at shows

Growing up and being generally car-aware in the 80's I noticed both Cherrys and Mk1 Granadas a lot. My cousin actually had a 3 door Granny which I was sick in the back of I think (possibly emptied a bag of crisps actually, I can't really remember other than he was a bit annoyed).
I don't recall ever seeing a Victor though. That grille is quite novel to me. So I am thinking they must have rotted even quicker than their contemporaries perhaps? Or else they just went out of fashion quicker.

Now you mention it, what did happen to all the Cherrys? There used to be loads of them about. That and Fiat Pandas.

I'll second the wagons, for some reason, they just don't survive against their more popular couple/saloon cousins. Sad panda

The Austin (etc) 1100. For most of the '60s they were the UK's best selling car; how often do you see them now? Looking (fairly unscientifically) at the data from that website it looks like about a thousand left of all variations, of about 2 million produced, although I don't know how many went for export.
But anyway, not many left...

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

I have the opposite, there are at least three times as many Austin 7 Ulsters in existence now as there actually were produced ;D

Oh and I reckon I could throw the Skoda 105-130/Estelle range in there. Sales figures in the UK were pretty decent actually when in production, and how many are left? Few enough that 50 is a bandied around number, maybe 150 if you include all the stored ones estimated & known about that are almost beyond saving.
