Not sure if this has been done before, but today as I walked back to my daily (V40) I caught myself smiling at the glowing marker lights on the bumpers. This started me thinking about the one thing that made me smile on each car Ive owned. Here are a few starter ideas, show me what you got! V40 Marker lights (narrowly beat the twin fuel guages) The twinish headlights on my old Avensis The pointy bonnets on my Meganes The GLE alloys from my 740 Sunny Coupe rear spoiler made of rubber! The heated windscreen on the Fiesta and the sliding windows on the Kombi Slightly sad eh

Two that spring to mind for me are both to do with rear spoilers. The first is the way the Spoiler on the back of my DC2 Integra seems to light up when you hit the brakes (3rd brake light is in rear window) Second is the speed activated spoiler on the back of my old Corrado G60 and the switch to raise or lower it at will

For me it's this: It's a little light which lights (surprise! ) the dashboard, but if you flip it open, you get a perfect light spot on your lap where you can read maps/books/whatever you want to read ;D it's so small, and no-one believes it works, untill i demonstrate it in the dark. Clever japanese designers back in the 70s!

Auto retract seatbelts in the MR2, they don't alter untill you open the door.

Sorry for that bad picture. Probably that little light. Just amuses me to find that on a 70's car. Or the trivial pursuit gauge. That's pretty cool.

The pointy bonnets on my Meganes Designer Patrick Le Quément designed it to evoke the front grill of the Renault 16: Which to my mind is one of the prettiest Renailts from an era of pretty Renaults. There's a similar fred ere

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Sorry no pictures but it always amused and pleased me that in my Range Rover the was a little space round the auto box that was an exact fit for my Sony Ericsson even though the interior design was from a time when mobiles came with backpacks.

A very subtle and well thoguht out one. The way the light reflects the Toyota name from the perspex spoiler on my MR2 and projects it onto the glass rear window. Folk behind think its a sticker, but it doesnt appear in my rear view mirror. Oh, and its 80's oot its NUT! Example: In low light... no sign of it: ..but in strong light: There it is!!

Mine are,
my merc 123 coupe, the seat release (to tip the backrest forward so you can get in the back) is electric and operates automatically when you open the door, shut the door and the metal catch moves back, slowly and smoothly, all by it's self ;D I always watch it when I close the door, and it took my nearly a year to notice it lol.
The desoto, apart from the Blackpool illuminations on the bonnet, it's the window winders, or rather the speed and gearing of the mechanisams, 1 1/4 turn from fully closed to fully open! Fastest thing on the car! Lol
My old VW t25, the insane furnace like heating with vents all over the place! It's like VW realised they could have proper heating and just went nuts!

Remember the days when sex was safe and motorsport was dangerous. Vintage bling always attracts pussy.

Loving the trivial pursuit lights and the reading light! Here are the V40 fuel guages- left for lpg, right for unleaded.
