This thing's a little beastie in the snow! It should have stayed here but I just had to go for a play! A very capable little car, very impressed with her in the snow coping with slippery inclines effortlessly! PS. A set of lowering springs are definitely on the shopping list

Thank you, I'm very proud of it __________________________ The lowering plan will be on hold for a short time, I've just made myself skint by buying a new set of wheels . I'll sell the current ones to buy new shocks and springs etc. Today was the first time I've been able to give Poppy a wash in two weeks and as it was lovely I thought I'd clay, polish and wax it but once I did the one side of the car it started raining slightly! At least the one side looks good lol The rear lights are of course good but I'm going to have to try and clean them up a bit! Remember the bumper looking like this? Well now it looks much smarter after a touch of paint and polishing etc. To be honest it looks far worse in the pic than in person so anyone that thinks you have to go to one of those curse word 'Chips Away' sort of places is a numpty. Just some touch up and masking tape and you'll get a good enough repair for me . Here's that tiny patch of rust coming through on the n/s arch, there was little to no sign of this before I got the car back on the road . Obviously I'm going to have to do something about it, all I can do is sand it back and treat it!

My new wheels arrived today, trail fit tomorrow Replaced the rear brake light today as it was a bit manky. Before: After: Cleaned the Leather up, not that you can notice, smells lovely mind! While I was there I did spot some marks that looked like blood??? What's that all about??? Put up a new Air Freshener which just smells great! Random Dash Shots:

Ok, I'm going to say it, I actually LOVE this car!! People say these cars are curse word. They complain about loose rattly trim, rough idles, dodgy electrics etc etc but mine behaves absolutely perfectly!! . Ok, it's not 100%, there's an imperfection on every panel of some sort (Ok I'm being very picky there), it has in the past been slightly difficult to engage reverse due to a worn gearbox mount and well that really is it!! The car did get some more wax the other day which I was unable to do due to rain the last time, looks great. When I walk away from the car I can't help but turnaround and admire it. It's a good job I'm hopelessly single, any Girl would be jealous lol! I bought a used 'window scraper' as mine had bubbled up, it got bent in the post hence it looks ripply. Desperately need new front clusters, already got some airtight long range lights! Random! ________________ So I got the tyres swapped over today. I like the colour scheme (black/chrome on red) but I'm not convinced on the design, probably swap them in another 3/4 months lol What do you guys think? Next, once the RH wheels are gone, I'll be being some springs and shocks

Do you really need to ask? It looks like old 240 Steelies, that could have worked. But it didn't Get the RH back, pronto! Oh, and did I already mentioned lowering springs?

Haha, they're pretty naff aren't they!
If the RHs don't sell I'll polish the dishes and put them back on. If they do sell I'll put some extra money in the budget and buy something different!!

Random Got some lovely LED bulbs for the DLRs from SpreeLED the other day. They are a million times better than what were in there before, and to anyone thinking 'Oh, your pop ups won't work properly!' Wrong! They work just as they did before, and they won't get anywhere near as hot obviously so are less likely to further age the clusters . I suggest anyone with good clusters rip out the standard bulbs for these! Before: During, the new bulb is the one or the left After, they really improve the look no end! Just to prove they all still work I've got some new long range lights that I'll reseal to try and keep them condensation free! Also, I'm trying to get the money together so the RH wheels can get refurbed. I took them off ebay a couple of days after I put them on lol, got to sell some bits before it'll get done though

You should buy another then bud, they'll never be cheaper __________________ The first time I drove the car at night with the LEDs I could notice the difference as soon as I turned the ignition on! The DRLs are actually lights now! Still wish I had some good units mind but they're bloody expensive. Volvo Forum sticker added... And then a little bit later a bloody blizzard! The poor little (big) V70 is cold too . Been off the road since June now. No real reason but just bought a MK3 Golf GTi so it went off the road! Tinted the fogs today, A nice little touch Haven't come to a decision yet as to what wheels I want next after the RHs were collected yesterday. I'd love some Azev As like in the picture below but they're quite rare in the spec I need. Also like the idea of some BBS RS replicas but I'm put off by stories of poor quality etc. I'm sure I'll make a decision eventually!

Got the new wheels on the motor today, look tens times better than those nasty nasty slot mags! I actually like the way the car looks again now! This is all you're getting until I've cleaned the car again Yes they're Oscam Stellas, like Volvo Vegas but I can put them on other cars due to the massive cb When the slot mags have sold we'll be ordering some suspension bitties

Right. Not a huge amount happening here. The info centre was playing up at one point, freezing or giving no reading etc so I took the dash out and fortunately for my sanity the block connector on the back of the dials was a little loose, that's it! Perfect since! While there I went through all the switch gear replacing any duff bulbs. The bulbs in Halfords were £1.99 each but I got a pack of 10 off ebay for £6.00 delivered! I broke the hazard switch though trying to separate it Got a replacement info switch with clear writing on it, mine was all worn off. I also chanced buying a replacement hazard switch in the hope that the light in it would work but no luck and I'm not going to bust another trying to open it lol A couple of little picies from April and early May: Waxed the car the other week but yeah you guessed it, during wax-off it started to bloody rain!! Anyway, here are a couple of picies And then one in high town, Hereford: Also, you may notice that I put my initials on the windscreen as I'm a sad little curse word And some black 480 profile stickers: Yesterday I went over the car AGAIN! Here it is (and yes I have blackened the tyres since this pic): The car looks SOOO good that even my Nan was taking photos of her this morning! Still haven't been able to get money together for the suspension upgrade
