G'day A few pics of my Minor 1000, now just a little different from most. As I bought it 3 years ago. And a couple of it now Mister Morris claimed 28kw and Mister Mazda claimed 120kw, it is now a little faster even with the air con on. Cheers Graham

Did you have to cut the bulkhead about to fit it?

G'day No cutting of the bulk head. The support arms had the lip on the inside removed were then seam welded and then had a strip of angle welded on. The front cross member was removed and replaced later so it fitted around the changes. New engine mounts were made and the engine trial fitted. There seemed to be plenty of room at this stage. By the way the car is called MORRX as it is a combination of a MORris and an RX7, engine/ gearbox series 5 6 port injected 13B/ 4 speed auto, diff series 2 3.9 with disk brakes. Cheers Graham

G'day HAPPY NEW YEAR I have finally changed the passengers glove box lid to match the drivers side, now all I have to do is have it repainted and sort out the switches and the dash will be finished. The problem ,which caused the delay, was that its hinges were on the bottom requiring that it be bolted/screwed on the under side of the dash unfortunately the air con was in the way. A mate, at home, came up with a solution to make up new hinges attaching to the old mounting points then stepping down to the bottom of the door with the hinge there, it works a treat. He dose not even have a Morrie, just a ww2 Ford Jeep, Bullet Mustang and an Austin Healey 100/4. I finally had his idea turned into reality at Axe Welding/Giddy up Horse floats in Drysdale a very helpful man who was able to re use, with some modification, the bracket/hinges that were on the door. He only has a V8 FE Holden and is building a 40's Chev Coup Ute with a 350 but no Morrie. It is wonderful how helpful some non Morrie owners can be. Cheers Graham

G'day Morrx went to the inaugaral Drysdale classic car show today and met up with the Geelong Morrie Club. There was a good turn out of a large verity of cars, as they said in the add from MG's to Mussel Cars. But I liked this the second best there. Cheers Graham

One of the best things to do to a minor ;D other than turning them into washing machines imo Try reading the M.O. 2) If you haven't got something constructive to say, say nothing Sure this is stifling your freedom of expression, however I'm not interested in cars you don't like, I'm interested in cars you do. Conducting oneself in a positive manner will result in positivity. Read more: retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=45829#ixzz1k6CYH4g1

Do like this. Especially the addition of creature comforts like aircon for the warmer days- though the speedo I see goes to 125.. how many times you've had it wound round then?! ;D
I love the look of "modernized" without losing the original charm of the car. Nice work.

G'day Morrx went to the Queenscliff rod run display today, we parked in the non entrant area, surrounded by Thunderbirds, A Road runner and a very old Chev pickup. Morrx was not the only Minor there , this one unfortunately had its bonnet blown off, by a strong gust of wind, just after I got there. Some of you may know the Ute it has been around for a while, 3.8 V6 Commodore engine with a 2" or 3" roof chop. A rather neat looking Morris 8 or 10 I can not remember. And even an Austin And there was a few hundred Fords, Chevs etc Cheers Graham

Hiya, Glad you made it over here. I love seeing more rotary conversions and cars like yours may well get more people into the idea of using these great, cheap to buy and easy to fit little engines.
Why did you use an auto? Was it because thats the way your engine setup came and you stuck with it or did you want to go auto?
