G'day I found out yesterday that there was to be a car show at Mornington on New Years day and since some of the Melbourne Morries were going decided to go. Morrx waiting to board the ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento Mornington Peninsula. The show was put on by a Rod and custom club so mainly Rods and American V8's. The show had more cars turn up than was expected so Morrx , the Melbourne Morries and 100 or so others could not get into the venue, Morrx eventually got in. A few cars that took my eye of the several hundred present. A very nice custonline, the very first car I drove was a Mainline, the ute version of the Customline of this vintage. Happy New Year Cheers Graham

A picture I took to day of Morrx in the sunshine. I had washed it to go to the Mussel festival so I think it looks good. I saw where the max. temp in London was only 3C so I thought you mite need reminding of what a Morry looks like in the sunshine, 27C here today. Cheers Graham

G'day Morrx went to the First annul Portarlington Custom Car, Bike and Tattoo Show today. Quite a good turn out for the first one, especialy as it was a hot day good beach weather. The only Minor and rotary. The Hornet was the only one also, it has a 351 ford. Some of the cars there that took my eye, This 35 chev had a 327 and was very well done A nice Mk 1 Cortina GT This would look good under a Minor Bonnet V8 FX Pontiac Cheers Graham

G'day Morrx went on a Geelong Morry outing on Sunday, to a members house for Pizza and bbq. We met up with some members from Ballarat and Bendigo as well. Fortunately Doug has a big yard so even with his SHED there was room to park. About seven cars in hear in varying states. Rather nice !930's Riley Cheers Graham

G'day On the morning of the first Sunday of the month there is a gathering of classic cars on the banks of the Derwent River in Hobart. Morrx and I went along for a look. Both cars have the same injected 6 port 13B, one is original. Has anyone put a Masarati V8 in a Minor? Hudson Cheers Graham

Just stumbled across this thread by chance (as is so often the way given the size of this place ). Great li'l car, two of my favourite things in one package; a rotary and a Moggy Minor ;D I love how every post starts "Morrx went along to..." as if he only suffers you to go too so you can take the photos ;D

G'day Yes it is very wide and low, but I have never understood the idea of roof chops, I am 6'1" and look through the top of the windscreen as it is. Why make the car uncomfortable to drive? The 253 V8 was never a performance motor, the early ones had no more power than my 13B. If you have a trade we need there is plenty of work and easy to get a visa, so come on down I am in Tasmania at the moment and it was only 17c hear today, still better than the 7c in London. Cheers Graham

G'day I went to a British and European classic car show at Flemington on Sunday, over a thousand cars across the full spectrum of cars. Here are a few pictures I took. I had not seen one of these for a while, the Minor in the background is reputed to be the only 1,000,000 in Australia. Austin A30 wagon, it looked to have its standard Engine. I liked its optimism. Clearly it dose not aspire to have a very much bigger engine as from my understanding the 803 dose not rev too freely This little Wolseley was parked opposite Morrx, very nice. Cheers Graham

G'day Back home, a bit later than I had hoped. but good to be back in the warm. We got back in time for the Ist Friday chrome bumper gathering at the Fishermans wharf. Where I parked was next to a International Harvester pick up, the Family had one of these when I was young. It was replaced by Ford Mainline, which was replaced by this model mainline which was the first car I drove. Three rotaries there this month And a couple of VWs among an assortment of other things. Cheers Graham
