Yep, Only gone done it again aint I.... Haha, 85 GL engined polo C breadvan, Solid lifter lovelyness... Goes well even if I did have a slight misshap on the A31 today around 10miles after buying it.. The breather pumped ALOT of oil into the airbox, Creating the worlds biggest cloud of smoke behind me ;D Phoned the RAC, they took so long so I mopped it up with a towel, Left the filter out so it didnt syphon the oil, Then drove it home via the scenic route.. Made it fine. Nice to be in a polo again.. NEEDS: *oil breather cleaned, *oil filter *airfilter after today *front wheelbearing on N/S *lowering *4 branch and decent system.... CHUUUUFFFFED

Love how 80s that is inside it is a bit aint it haha... I was driving it back thru the newforest, Pulling the padded steering wheel cover off to reveal that lovely bus steering wheel underneath.. So big for a small car. But it makes it feel like it has PAS. Brakes are great too, Must have been bled recently. Got a huge wadge of reciepts from two garages its been maintained at in fordingbridge. Both of which i deliver to everyday so ill be asking them some questions ;D

very nice! looks like a tidy one and that interior ;D As for the wheels, this is the first car in Britain i've seen with them (i could be missing something but i'm sure i'm not!). BBS serals if i remember correctly, i actually have one in my shed if you want a decent spare, although you're a bit far away Its too good to scrap, but no one wants it cause no one has a set

^^Yeah they are serals, TBH ill probably change them soon enough, I want to go a little lower on this, And see what some decent width would look like.
Nothing over the top, Just some 165/65/13's Got any idea on the width of serals? Havnt had em off yet to check, If they are 5.5j ill just run em for a while with some wider tyres..
They rare then? When i saw the car i thought they were just old vw poss golf wheels, But when i was stood at the side of the a31 for an hour or so with it.. I noticed the bbs badge haha

Thought the same, G40s are pretty fun, had one briefly, Although they are very over-rated performance wise... I had one for 7 years, it had 170bhp and it was nothing short of awesome. Nice breadvan.

I had (a really enjoyed driving) 3 of these but that oil in the air filter business did my ***** nut in.
I learned to live with it day to day but had the same experinced as you on a motorway drive.
I bought the new unit for the crankcase and a new hose as the old ones would split but never managed to get them in properly from under the car. Is it an engine out job? There is no room to get and force from a hammer or something to get the thing fully seated.

There is no room to get and force from a hammer or something to get the thing fully seated. I had to remove the inlet manifold to get to it properly. And even then fitting the pod involved some leverage with a scafold car wedged against the firewall, And hitting the thing in from the top edge with a very blunt masonary chisel. Thought the same, G40s are pretty fun, had one briefly, Although they are very over-rated performance wise... I had one for 7 years, it had 170bhp and it was nothing short of awesome. Nice breadvan. 170BHP would be fun ill admit.. But as standard.... Meh lol. And cheers ;D Dan - probably was me as over there a lot at the moment.
