Some gorgeous cars there, though not sure about the white Stag with what looked like audi alloys. The Land Crab at the top was spot on.
I've been to Melbourne and other parts of Aus a few times and there are some brilliant motors there. Lots of big Fords and Holdens with silly massive engines, and so many cool utes as well.
Great thread.

I've got a crush on the Corona ute. It's up for sale now but the missus drove on by when I mentioned the A4 sheet in the window, lost in her own world or plain ignoring me. I think the garage on Sydney Rd changed the wheels to originals before the business shut. Plenty of very nice original stags and one or two with a vocal note that suggests a somewhat more modern power unit. I've got a great photo somewhere of another landcrab used by a window cleaner. It's in beautiful nick and probably the first time I ever looked upon one with fond eyes. Since then, various examples have been noted of the BMC ADO17 range.

I kinda like the donk stag... There is one of these somewhere near me that's in factory fresh condition and it's driven by who I think is the original owner. I'm glad we keep so many old things on the road down here. Makes a nice change from the normal.

These were sold as a 121 Coupe, with a piston engine. A mate of mine has an rx5 13b version, but I don't know if it was imported or if they were sold in that configuration in Australia.
Victoria and South Australia seem to have more retro's than the rest of Australia, although Queensland does ok.

It's an Austin 1800, commonly known (for some reason) as a Landcrab.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Has anyone noticed the stock 2.0 ltr Mk2 Escort Ghia. Not many of them back home as far as I can remember (still trying to locate the 4.1 Mk4 Cortina photo). Also there buthard to tell I know, the Rover badges on the Quintet? Can't remember it's local name. Interior shot below. And a little Landcrab rally history. And two more I saw on Koh Samui a few weeks back, Fiat & Toyota??? I think

Leyland P72, yes please!
Mazda Cosmo/whatever Coupe - hell yeah.
The dusty Fiat floats my boat, as does the Pug 404.
What an entertaining selection
