Alright gang,
I hate selling 'unfinished' project cars as I view em as a 'failure'. However i'm offering this up on here as I have a chance of getting my first ever car back, so its a special case. Maybe someone will take it on, if not i'll have to just revise my planz. Lets see how we get on.
1978 Avenger 1.6 LS estate, you my have read about this in my tat blog, if not have a look here:
retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=readersrides&thread=37171&page=28#1319036
bit more here:

Basically its a remarkably sound, running Avenger estate with a load of new parts on that needs finishing off. I pulled it out of an essex field last year and have done a lot of work towards getting it on the road. Many of the new parts it needs are included so the next owner should not cop any significant expense and should not need a welding machine either.
Good points:
* Very sound body, never been welded till I got it and all I have done is the front wings, bonnet and a patch on the front valance. That rot has been chopped out, repaired properly and painted (check the blog for details).
* 4 new Avon tyres
* Good engine and box, drives OK but brakes don't work! (good handbrake though)
* Rebuilt front calipers, brand new steering rack, new front hoses
Needs to finish:
* fit new headlights (brand spankers supplied, needs some fasteners to attach them)
* fit new exhaust (brand spanker supplied)
* battery
* some new bushes in the front suspension, these are supa cheap from speedy spares
* good old clean up, interior is a bit manky
* rebuild master cyl (seal kit supplied) and bleed brakes, will prob need new rear wheel cyls though you might be lucky.
* some new radiator hoses as the existing ones are somewhat crunchy.
OK thats about it, the blog should tell you all you need to know. I've got the V5 here in my name. This won't drive away and will need trailering or A-framing. This price is £500 which is less than it owes me in parts alone, I will not let it go for less than that, if no-one fancies it at that price it will have to stay in the fold for a bit longer.
Cheers all!
