After getting rid of a few of the fleet,I went into Endsleigh insurance's offices today,in Guildford to add myself to the wifes car insurance. After much sucking of teeth etc,I was stunned when he said he would have to write me out a cheque for £37  Apparently the fact we've been married for 8 years and have a child.plus I'm ten years older than the missus,means the policy owes me that much to put my name on it! Obviously I'm not complaining,but I just wondered if anyone else had had this? |

Yeah, it's pretty common. I can't remember what car I had, but figured I'd save money by insuring it just for me....but it worked out about £30 more expensive!

I can beat that. Diamond insurance, them of the 'Women are so much better drivers' annoying adverts, actually knocked my wife's premium down by £75 when I was added as a named driver! Who's the better driver now then?  |

I added my GF to my policy, even though she has never driven it, knocked £15 off my premium. I keep telling her that's the only reason I go out with her  |

my mate have a bay window camper, he bought a 56 quid polo off ebay to use during the winter. when he went to swap the insurance over to the polo the gave him 70 quid back.
70 - 56 = free polo!!!!

Who's the better driver now then? I got £750 knocked off the misses insurance when I went on as a second driver on the Jetta. Her insurance: £1500ish Me and her insurnace: £750ish  |
