Right, it's stupid o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep because my brain is working overtime on build ideas. I've been scribbling ideas down on a note pad along with sketches on what I could do with a Citroen 2cv I have stripped in a friends yard. I prob should worry AFTER I've paid for it and got it home but I can't, I've toyed with 4x4 (but ill have that in my daily) or mounting the power plant in the back. Then I figured why not see if I can find a donor to plonk the shell onto?
So, I need ideas! The wheelbase required is 2.40m/94.5in. I've found a few odds and sods thanks to a quick google search, anything spring to your clever minds? Cheers, Chris

what would be the point of putting a 2cv shell onto a beetle chassis? its not like you're having a nice reliable modern base and a nice classic looking body (such as the mini clubman estate on an MX5 chassis).

Some good ideas here, beetle like I say has been done In a Dyane anyway, land rover 90 has been done with a 2cv van but I like the idea, mr2 sounds dangerous and is top of my list..

Used to be a triumph vitesse chassis under a 2cv body, looked good and I assume went pretty well.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

If you are thinking outside the box, then how about thinking a bit further out. If it is putting the 2CV body onto something with more power, then pick almost anything that can use wheels the rolling radius of a stock 2CV and 'simply' cut and shorten/lengthen the floor pan to suit. You are either going to use something with a chassis (limited to largely classics) or weld in your own roll cage/out riggers. My money if I wanted a jaw dropper 2CV, is build a full roll cage with mounts for the new suspension/transmission to link to. The wheel base is an 'easy' fix, it is the track that might be a little tougher nut to crack.

Unless you find something with a separate chassis that gives you the required wheelbase, you're looking at Frankensteining on a unitary chassis. This requires BIVA. There. I've said it. And if you're Frankensteining, what's to stop you shortening the floorpan of your chosen donor?

scimmy chass is close enough, 96", 2cv wheel arches are plenty big enough to loose an inch each end.

I saw an mgf with a 2cv body on top of it that looked like it went together well .
