Just thought i would let you all know of my new venture i havent been on here for a while as i have been very busy but i used to sell run of the mill cars and started to not enjoy the misery and agro of selling cheap used cars to the public so in order to keep going and start to enjoy it again i have decided to stock 70's 80's and early 90's classics as i enjoy these most. recent purchases include:-
(i am not promoting these in anyway as they are currently not for sale until all the work has been done on them
B Reg Ford Granada mk2 2.8i ghia x executive auto in grey C Reg ford fiesta 1.1L with a genuine 23,000 miles from new mint! B Reg vauxhall cavalier 1.6 auto LX great spec with recaro's 60k F Reg ford granada 2.4 ghia one owner for 20 years ! H Reg Ford sierra low mileage GLX automatic in mint condition K MGB GT chrome bumper edition in red
still have some everyday cars aswell but as i am getting rid of them i am buying older stuff and suddenly my job has becme more exciting just replaced a waterpump on the fiesta in 15 mins ! much better then newer cars and hopefully people will soon start to realise this and go back to older cars !

Certainly a great idea, I wish i had the funds to start something like this. You may find a company called 4 star classics selling cars from the 70's and 80's as a speciality.
I am keen on the MG BGT if by any chance you want to sell it some day.....
All the best.

just had a search for 4 star classics they are higher end than me i am looking at stuff under £3000 so its affordable for people on a budget to still get a classic car, hence my name "Bargain Classics" lol

Great idea! With the cost of new stuff, old is so much cheaper and fun. People strive to drive something different and pay thousands for a ltd edition euro box, with colour coordinated gear knob. Life can be so much simpler!

I would also advise stocking a small quantity of Rover 25s and Peugeot 106s for the weeks when you can't move any classics/for drop-ins that just want a cheap car the same day.

Nice idea and i wish you all the best with your new venture. A mate of mine is a mechanic and he was only saying the other day that he finds working on modern stuff absolutely soul destroying, if he could afford it he'd love to set up a specialist garage working on retro/classic stuff.

that website is pretty bad. it just looks cheap and nasty, having a file pic of a mustang as a background only serves to worsen this. its hard to read(lack or punctuation or proofreading), hard to view (jumps around all over the place when scrolling), and all the cars on it are sold or you don't have pics of them. if youre basing your sales online you need to have better than that.

low on stock as sold loads so must be doing something right but thanks ! and yes it is cheap and nasty till i get going properly i knocked it up in about 15 mins from scratch and don't rely on it for selling cars i advertise in 4 different places the website is just to get a rough idea till i get time to build a better one

If it really took you 15 minutes to build it would surely take all of 30 seconds to bin that background image and the "animated gif" looking text that makes me cringe. Personally I'm not sold on the pink either. Also if you ask any web developer you will find it makes them come out in a rash whenever they see "Welcome to blah blah" on a site home page. I'll leave it at that for now. Sorry if I sound harsh, but hopefully you find this criticism valuable.
