Horrible to hear What about making them into furniture (cleaned up with a bit of perspex on and you have a set of four very low seats )

Won't the council pay out for the damage?

There is a website and forum somewhere (Pistonheads i think) that will help you claim the damage back via the council. They are so experienced that they guarantee to get you compensation. Might be a way forward?

curse word....... That's why I have two sets of awesome wheels for the Mini but I'm not using them - as both took me years to find and if I wreck them......... Sigh.

I have sat and fumed all night, and have led myself to this... Once the garage is built, and some disposable income is available, i may pick up a set of these: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261192589145?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Yes, i know they are chocolate and all that waffle, but the genuine image split rims havent faired too well, so whats the difference? Plus these are actually pretty close to the current wheels, meaning the car should look just as epic. Later, i may find the funds to refurb the Images, and i have just the project for those too.....

Splits are ideal for those times when just one pile of dish simply won't do.

Haha, ALL the dish.
Man, those are immense. I wonder if you can get road tires for wheels that wide?

Sadly I've already bought lamp covers for the garage. Also, I have a wife, so that wont work inside either...

By the way, the R5 Turbo has Fagix split wheels (obscure 70's French wheel brand), which I discovered on RetroRides...
