I'm after a fuel filler / flap to be adapted for my Mahindra (will be used as mains power input as I've a Kenlowe HotStart). Requirement is (a) metal flap (b) flat mounting. I've just been out shopping and looked at every car but noting caught my eye as suitable. Any suggestions of something I could find in a scrapyard ?
Thanks.

Square or round? When i had my mk2 astra estate i was thinking of replacing the curse word round one with the square one from a bmw, as it would have fitted in better with the shape of the rear end. Seems alot of the `90`s bmw`s have a nice square one and flat quarters which would be ideal to transplant it. Plus they have nice flaps (fnnnar fnaarr).

Doesn't matter what shape. I'd cut a section out of the donor vehicle and let that into the bulkhead of the Mahindra on passenger / nearside. Kenlowe hotStarts are brilliant but as I've found before siting the mains input where it is easy to access can be difficult hence a flapped filler would be a neat option.

Don't rule out vans. The late 90's/early '00s Relay/Ducato/Boxers have large flattish flap in the front wing.
