After my volvo (1 of 300) getting malicously keyed it's now happended to my Seat. All down the side, 2 days in a row! It didn't have a mark on it and is always 'freshhhh' as they say, waxed weekly etc.
Can anyone recommend a decent in car cctv kit? One that will record continously, maybe with a couple of camera's to see both sides?
I live in an area where people think they own the spaces on the road and have a right to always park in the same spot. Without a steak out with a bat in hand I'm at a loss what to do! I'm a polite neighbour I might add and have never had any issues with anyone on the street!
Danken!

Yeah seen those cheapy ones, idealy want them recording when I'm not in the car so could do with a battery pack or somethin along those lines. In an ideal world I'd rather chop the persons hands off

The trouble is, unless the person doing the keying is a child or a malicious dwarf, you're not going to get much apart from someone's midriff and a nasty scraping noise. It might be better putting CCTV out the front of your house, if you park outside of it?

Agree logistically your better of putting a camera where you can view the car and area around it. But it can't be legally postitioned where it can see into peoples windows and you have to make people aware they are being filmed i.e a cctv sign

Been there done that, get a mate with a van to park in front of your car so you have an unobstructed view, beware that the police will want evidence that you saw them damaging the car not just leaning on it or looking in the windows before they will consider smacking their hands, i.e you've got to see them on tape keying your car or its your word against theirs and 90% of the time you will loose.

a half decent cctv system wont cost that much and you can blur out areas like neighbours windows, worth it to catch the little scrotes!

You could build one from a Rasberry PI a webcam and some motion sensing software (or an old smart phone?) cheap enough not to worry to much if it DOES get stolen out of the car, although if it was auto backing up via an internet dongle you'd be able to see who stole it.
