I recently sent my 480 turbo to the breakers. Before it went I salvaged the ECU out of it, Cause it has been chipped by Richard Pruen from the 480 europe forum it cost £80 to get it chipped and the guy had it for 2 weeks max. So I put it on ebay to sell thinking if I get half my money back I am laughing! Just check now and it ended at £180 WTF I just hope he aint a timewaster!!!!

Timewasters, gotta watch them. I was thinking of buying a spare/replacement V3i on eBay and there was a limited edition purple one on, sold for £680. WTF? Sadly I checked back on the guys feedback a couple weeks later when clearingout theold items from my bid list and he was a time waster and the thing had sold the following week for £48.
However a piece of furniture I was unable to GIVE away and I put on eBay for £5 no reserve sold for £255 and the buyers were very happy when they picked it up the following weekend.

Richard Pruen canbe quite elusive at time and it means you cant use the car for a few weeks so I would imagine it may be someone who doesnt have the patience.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

My Pizza axle was my best ever ebay effort. Buy car for £30, local scrapyard picks it up, I remove and sell axle on a 'second chance offer' for £300, not even a speck of oil on the driveway! I got a neg like, as the winning bidder was a full-on wolfbagging sh1te eater.

i sold a mk1 sierra dash top (uncracked) for nearly 200 quid on ebay, gotta love them cossie boys. many years ago i bought a mini van for £20, it came with a load of spres in the back which earnt me £100 and i sold the van on for £150. One i regret though was a clean and original mk3 3.0S capri, one of the last ones built, bought it from a guy in the pub who couldnt afford to tax it, it got cheaper as he drank through his money so i offered him £50 as long as we could go get it straight away, i towed it home (flat battery and no petrol in it) and washed it the following morning and a guy walked past and offered me £300 so i took it. should have kept that one, never even started it up.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

I'll never understand ebay prices. got £60 for a secondhand essex dizzy the other week, I was happy with that. a mate of mine sells loads of italian stuff on there, gets a small fortune! recently he broke a ferrari 400. he slung the owners handbook cover on for £30, tatty but it was ferrari. got a call that night, "will you take £100 for it"? thinking its a fool, says no. in the morning it was upto £200 already! finally sold for a whopping £2250 for an a5 binder with a ferrari badge FFS! the lubrication chart (single side of a5, glossy paper) made £500, WTF! wheels made a grand a piece, knock on adapters made £1k, glass is set to net him £10k. he paid £3000 for the car.......... if only i could sell stuff on at those prices I wish
