Thought i already had a thread for this but i guess not.
Lets start this story at the beginning
While looking around gumtree i spotted a 1976 Lada 1200 in Northern Ireland. I then got in touch with SurprisingSkoda thinking maybe he can save it as it was listed as being a possible banger racer
At this time i didn't really think it would be possible to have the car myself, as i had a few projects on the go, but it quickly became something i wanted, as finding a RHD pre Riva is a once in a lifetime opportunity these days
So the car was picked up by SS, and taken to his unit.
Quite a few months passed and it became apparent that the work needed on the car wasn't going to happen in NI (SS was already swamped with work).
So last year the car was put onto a transporter and brought over to England.
So where is the car now?
Well it's in the North East Restoration Club, where i have a short term bay (ends at start of March). I am just waiting for £250 worth of panels to be delivered from Hungary and then the welding can start, thankfully its mainly the floor and wheel arches, the rest is very solid
Anyway, this thread needs pics, as that's what we all came here for
Pics from the advert on Gumtree...
A picture outside Surprising Skoda's unit...
And here it is outside our garage, and just look at that floor
