Howdy, I keep pining for the rumble of a v8. Here in the Colonies I can legally fit a v8 up to 3.7L into the mk2, so ofcourse I thought of the rover 3.5 straight away. No one I can find in Oz does a straight-up engine mount kit. Is anyone here aware of one on the market or who to contact? Does anyone have a set of mounts that they have used in the past they want to sell or provide schematics of? Also can anyone think of alternate v8s? It's about the rumble not outright power.
Does the chassis need to be strengthened in any way for a modest 200hp?

i have somewhere a magazine feature of how they fitted a V6 into a cortina its from the late 60s or 70s. Ill see if i can dig it out for you and if your interested ill take some copies ( i think it was about 6-7 pages). All i ask is that you pay the postage. Let me know if anyone else is interested, just PM me your address

Nah, never seam welded mine, and never had a problem with it, I ended up with about 320+hp and a shed load of torque, never a crack or burst seam, Stiffened the shell with a strut brace into the bulkhead and a rear Half cage

Yeah very much like that! Castlemain don't advertise one, neither does Dellow. I guess I could ring and see if they have the details to make a custom order...Thought I might see if I can get a rusty p6b somewhere for all the running gear...go from there....
