hello peoples ,
does anyone know if the mk3/4 2.0 petrol transit 240mm clutch fits the mk5 tranny/ldv 2.0 dohc 8v with mt75 gearbox?

am I right in thinking the 2.0i smiley was the dohc engine and not pinto?,.

yes, some mk3's definately got a pinto and maybe some mk4's but smiley's were dohc

QH parts listings for clutches has them as differant kits but they use the same release bearing and they are both 23 spline, if that helps at all?

ok , its just ive found plenty of nos mk3/4 clutches much cheaper than the smiley clutches , even though the numbers are different some vehicals are still interchangeable so I thought id check

TBH the differing part number can just be down to the pressure the cover plate is rated at, the pinto and 1.8TD use the same clutch but the TD has a stronger cover plate hense the differant part numbers on the kits even though they fit each other (if that makes sense?)

I was thinking something like that , we have a new 2.3 petrol mk6 tranny clutch here , ill look and see what that's saying , its a hydrolic clutch where mines cable , they all seem to be 240mm with 23 splines,.
