Even soggy weather couldn't dampen the mood at this years classic car show in my local park, though the attendance was a little down on previous years.
Lots of interesting and smartly turned out metal, some very pretty Jags and a super old Aston, but, I'll get to the pictures and you'll all see what I mean.
We'll start with some forum cars...
The Hirst 323, forsale if anybody is interested.
morrisoxide Oxford series5 Estate
steveandhis244 240GLT, and what a beauty it is!
So, on with the show. A sharp suited Ambassador
Gorgeous 4dr Escort made me consider the restoration route
Local built Jowett Jupiter
Classic Capri and an Alfa in the rain. A ballsy move.
Ford flanked by GS's
LHD E30 on unusual plates was parked on the street outside the show.
Super smart T25 pickup is a rolling advert for my friends business.
I've taken a fair few shots of this over the years and it still makes me smile for the correct use of 3spokes.
Stunning RX3 caught my eye from afar and I was drawn to it, must've been rare when new and fairly unique in such good nick.
Sweet mk1 Escort in the best colour
I love those 'Galaxie' rims.
This Austin Seven rod is a properly cool little thing.
Pretty little Hillman would make a perfect match for my friend Richards wagon.
Speaking of which, have a Chrysler badged wagon
Aston DB2, just, wow.
Bedford walk through doormobile
James was gutted to not be able to get some shots with this and his Marauder.
Another well presented Yank, Buick Skylark.
I do like how mean and moody P6's look.
£20k patina panelvan
I didn't realise they did 1300s other than 1.3SR's
Flying 'A'
Good application of Slotmags.
90s vibe to the beetle
123GT, and lovely it was.
Whats that in the mirror?
Wow, that Sunbeam that I spotted in town a couple of years ago.
Not much difference for all the years between them
3piece rear window Cresta is a honey.
murdered out mk3 was raucous on the way off the showfield
Cosworth lookalike was packing hidden punch.
Brilliant line of old Fords rocked up after folks had already started leaving
Not seen anything like this before, a 'Standard' apparently.
A couple of motors making their way out
Pistachio Mk2 Granada
and terracotta Chevette
XK140 was surprise given the weather.
One of the few bikes I'd like to own, those wheels are a work of art.
Cross-section of classics
RST van is a giggle I bet.
This rod gets about
A damn early Mk2 given the 'treatment'
Imp looked restoration fresh
Now then, the money shot. Just drink in all the detail from this old crate...
and that is your lot for this year. Next year we can hope for better weather.
