That is un-beatably cool! the one and only thing id do is lose the sticker accross the screen, Without that it looks sooooo clean! Agreed. The car looks seriously clean as is but without the sticker in the windscreen it would look SUPER clean. Ive had a 75 and a ZT190 new, so I'm going back a bit, but I thought they were wonderful cars that were hugely underrated. And he can lose the tax disc in october.....

Great car! Please post up more photos! Especially a side-shot. The Rover 75 is a great looking car I think. The estate especially so. I've often thought about how one would look with a bit of altitude adjustment and some well considered wheels, and you've gone and done it. Nice one. More pics please! Astounding. This is absolutely a Retro-Rides worthy car*. You are a hero. ^^ This. ^^

Your car looks great. There's one along my street. Always catches my eye . Torquise/ dark blue with fat Rover alloys. Sweet as.

Have seen a couple of pics of this on FB, glad to see more and better pictures!
What coilovers it on? Proper 75/ZT or adapted BMW E46?

Adapted e46 ones. they don't go quite as low as I'd hoped though, but for the simple reason that the front coilovers are made for hubs that don't have CV joints sticking out of them, thus must sit higher in the hub. I need to find shorter ones or at least some other way of getting it down a tad more at the front.

Personally I think it sits beautifully. Looks very imposing.
If it were diesel I think it would be my perfect daily, I love absolutely everything about it and I'm a big fan of the base vehicle.

I've been thinking about the 75 estate as a new family car. They had fallen down the list a little, but that car looks so good! The diesel models run bmw engines so now worries on the head gaskets. The oxford built 75s were pretty well made cars in all fairness

For diesels just watch out for failing fuel pumps and clutch master cylinders.

Major thumbs up from here chief, that is a cool look for a smooth car. As for the dreaded HGF... if you're a half decent spannerist and can follow instruction, they're a piece of urine to do, especially if you unbolt the whole front of the car and take it off! A few considered checks and mods will keep the fluids from mixing for good.... For diesels just watch out for failing fuel pumps and clutch master cylinders. New metal master cyls are available for all manuals and afaik, Peugeot in tank pumps are the same but a lot cheaper!!

V6's suffer HGF as often as any other car would do, i.e when you don't look after them! the 4 pots were known for it due to rubbish and generally lazy and cheap assembly of the engines. the plastic studs in the head used for alignment for example later replaced with metal stuffs, and prevented the head from being misaligned at the factory and later suffering head gasket failure. Silly really.

Love 75 estates. I've thought many a time about how good one would look lowered on a set of interesting hoops. My thoughts would have been a similar stance with 15" banded steels and white walls. Yours looks incredible and is very close to what I thought in my head. Lovely car

15s! Don't think so, these are 18s and still look relatively small! 17"/18" bandeds did cross my mind, but I felt this deserved a bit better my 45 is on bandeds. Yes, I really am this stupid.

A new Rover pump was £270, a new Peugeot one was £80 from Peugeot! By the time my brother got it off my Uncle it had 230k on it and was running terribly. Disconnected the MAF and it was spot on, just had to keep filling the clutch master cylinder with fluid haha.

Great to see someone has finally done a 75. I've wondered for ages what one would look like after a bit of work.

Love this car! They're a really smart shape and I always thought they'd answer well to some work, but this one looks even better than I imagined. I'd love to have a play with the tailgate on one of these, I think it would look great with a bit of a de-clutter and a different number plate recess. But yours looks stunning as it is! Really digging the 45 too.

Really digging the 45 too. Exactly what I was going to say, rear end needs a few less items. The shape and factory chrome all mean it was always going to work when someone did it. Drove one years ago and always liked them but never had an excuse to buy one and do something similar. As for BMW diesel ones solving the head gasket issue, yes, at the cost of adding numerous other issues - that engine is a lemon. Petrol all the way and do preventative fix.
