Tried these old things on again since it's lower than it was when I last had them on. (14x9 ET23) Not sure why they're pink but they are. They would actually fit if I could add a bit of negative camber but I'm 99% sure you can't on a 5¿

Rears fit but have a lot of rub.. scratching my head a bit for a solution. Narrower tired would be the obvious choice but 3 of the tires are good cond and one is brand new so

I think you should fit the ATSs but in red instead of black inner colour

Think I've got one side done alright. I'll try the same on the other side and then give it a proper drive to try it right

Well after today's result now the wheels are sorted (minus paint on the single one that doesn't match), time to move on to the next stuff - like that god awful arch gap at the front. It's especially annoying since the car is lowered the same height all round, but there's a huge arch gap at the front and wheels tucked nicely into the arches at the back. Lowering the front will throw off the neutral rake I've wanted for so long, so I think some slightly higher profile (60 or 65) will hide it. The lazy choice, but probably the best choice in this instance. I had/have the rack off too, hits a dizzying 188mph 88mph Beautiful!!! I live the 5! And that's one of the best I've seen! Thanks bud! I'm strangely attached to them now, might have another one coming soon.

Any updates on the Escort? None yet, it's got no battery and I haven't really got enough quid for a new one + the other bits it needs to carry on with it currently. There's a few bits on the 5 that need doing, and since I drive that every day and the Escort never I've gotta prioritise it

Realised I forgot to add pics with the ats' Pre wheels.. Test #1: Releasing the jack released me into the problem - arch rub. It did manage to move though, but was pretty bad. (Yes I was curse-worded off at the tire fitters for putting the wheel weights on the outside..) Anyway, the car decided to fix it's own problem. I pulled that off (as it's already clear, that plastic arch is barely holding together) Success! It moved and has a lot of clearance The plastic on the other side never cracked, so I did it with a grinder because it's fast easy etc Some people suggested doing the centers red, but they look much better black imo. (this is the spare orange one I bought on it's own) Then I painted that to match the rest. Happy with how it came out, going to give them all a good polish soon and see how shiny I can get them to be. Rack again (sorry I like it despite how industrial it looks)

Love it on the classics, But realy realy prefer it without the rack on. Looks soooo clean and subtle.

Pas has kicked itself back into life, still a bit temperamental though. Exhaust scrapes and rattles all the time so I tucked it up closer to the underside and found the culprit broken exhaust hangers that caused the rattle. Started tidying the engine bay up a bit, the huge ugly airbox is gone now and much better. Think I'm happy with the height it's at too. Before: After: Picture and lightings not identical but you get the idea. Going to make a start on polishing the wheels today too

wondered if you were going to paint the sills black below the side mouldings on the above pic to make it all two toney?

Looks brilliant. Alot more red in colour than mine, has it had a re-spray? Mines more orangey red than red.

Looks brilliant. Alot more red in colour than mine, has it had a re-spray? Mines more orangey red than red. Thanks! It's definitely been resprayed at some point yeah, to what extent I'm not sure. It came with a tonne of receipts but none for a full respray - just little bits. You can see it on the doors, whoever did it painted straight over the locks. The boot struts also have overspray on them, as does a little part of the ns headlight visible when the bonnet is opened. That being said, I'm fairly certain what has been done was done to match the factory colour since I tracked down photos of it from the owner who had it before the guy I bought it from who had bits redone. Comparing those to ones I have now, it looks the same - and I think they do go a little orangey in the sunlight.
