I'll be trying to work out what the new noise is that's coming from the rx8 engine bay!! Then trying to source a new sensible family car, if you can count a twin turbo saab as sensible!! I got a freelander for sale, thats sort of sensible I hope your RX8 doesn't need the rotor tips doing :/ I'm off to clean and polish the freelander today, i was hoping to get to use it, but sadly an injury to my clutch leg has stopped that idea dead in its tracks, just as well my others are autos

Both relatively cheaply fixed and worth taking a punt on given that RX-8s with these issues go on eBay for a few hundred quid because the owner doesn't know what's wrong with them and assumes it's the voodoo engine! ...with that said, I did see an RX-8 with a Saab engine on eBay the other day, which might be the best of both your worlds, Swampy Oddly, it came up when I was searching for rear washer jets for an '85 RX-7 and I can't find it now ....and that's what I'm doing this weekend, trying to get the decrepit and long-defunct washer system on the Rex to function again. And swap the hateful Cibie foglights for something that... well, just something that works would be a start

Got the garage tidied up and got the Mercedes out, it started 1st time after being sat for months and thankfully the brakes were not stuck on, also removed the tarp that i had covering it after reading few threads on here bout micro blistering, problem is the garage lets water in and i cant leave it open to dry out.

well, freelander halfarsed cleaned, as i got bored. So i got the caddy hearse and started to clean all of that annoying moss out of the knooks and crannies. Got bored after a while of doing that which means that will be finished off tomorrow, or i might extract an engine and gearbag from a friends transit because cleaning is boring

As well as a a bit of work (at home luckily), put the Christmas decs up. Oh joy! Painted some brackets for the Mustang engine bay, going to finish them off as soon as I can be bothered to get out of bed...

Managed to scrape by the bare minimum with the mojo remaining post-manflu to make this throbbing purple monster usable again: Heater resistor next up for the coming weekend, and then its back onto the Impreza (actual winter project)

I had a fun car weekend. Quoted a car to detail Saturday. Fixed my Renault 5 on Saturday night. Took him for a blast to Northampton yesterday and competed in an RC drift comp
