worked this morning, shopping after, going to spend evening trying to calm my 2 cats down as they are frightened silly by fireworks and our local 30min display is on about 100m from my house!
Tomorrow - sort out my workbench as its cluttered, ready for making the tool box lining for my P100
Then off to the White Lyon & Dragon in Worplesdon for a Thai meal tomorrow evening.

If the weather is good Sunday morning will take a walk round to Krispy Kremes Shannons Corner Hot Rod meeting, grab a coffee and doughnut, admire the cars and get some inspiration.

The title of this thread is offensive. To you? Really? I thought we were a bit more mature here for that level of complaining... Anyway, weekend over and Carlton home. Looks like it may have a couple more issues than I banked on, but nothing I cannot cope with. Is there any Carlton fanatics on here who can help a brother out?

The title of this thread is offensive. I find your signature offensive, so there, we're quits.

How did we all get on? I rearranged the boards and no one complained at me yet, so that is something. Did a bit more on SEMA. Didn't get the awards categories sorted, will give them some thought at lunch time today. Did anyone get to NEC? How was it? Time to start a thread? ... I see a few people went to Krispy Kreme, I totally forgot it was on

I see a few people went to Krispy Kreme, I totally forgot it was on I pretty much couldn't walk at the end of Saturday, we'd covered so much ground at the NEC. I don't do pics I'm afraid, a combination of there being much more adept photographers than me who will have taken pics of the same thing, and having a crappy phone camera. It was amazeballs though.

I got on marvellous, I didn't have to change my old mans starter motor what a pain in the derriere that looked to be. My sisters brakes weren't changed as the wrong pads were supplied :S but I did adjust her handbrake and get some new insurance sorted out on the roadster Sadly I didn't go to the N.E.C, but would love to see some photos of it

I intentionally didn't say what I was doing this weekend as I usually never get round to doing it But I did manage to clean out the intake of the Jag (which had a decent amount of engine oil in it..) in the hope of better running and economy (which hasn't worked as I've developed a heavier right foot as it feels more responsive ) I also finally got round to starting paint prep on the spare wheel for the Jag which has been sitting in my living room for months now... I was planning to go to the NEC but didn't fancy going on my own, plus I knew I'd end up buying loads of bits I don't need Oh I also did some fairly crucial research for a new daily too

I rearranged the boards and no one complained at me yet, so that is something. If I had to make one minute, tiny, little comment.. When I go to click on the Parts for Sale section, I end up clicking on the Pony Express board by accident as my hand expects the Parts for Sale to be the third one down in the Trading Post section #firstworldproblems

Friday, Cambelt + water pump on OH's RX300 Lexus, if it wasn't for the 100,000 mile change interval I would say next time will be quicker! Saturday finish reassembly and oil and filter change. Sunday unexpectedly upto my elbows in curse word changing a toilet.....

Well I'm updating this thread as it had only got to page two and is only three pages long This weekend I plan to get the RR Awards nominations up. Get a page for the RR summer holiday sorted Maybe pop down to the work shop and tidy it all up in the hope that next weekend I'll be getting my car... fingers and toes crossed everyone (just in time for rubbish weather) I'm also considering restarting our newsletter so may investigate some options around that as well as continuing to try and optimise this place for speed, readability and general betternessseses.

Guess what? I'll be working (again) . And continuing sorting out plumbing and tanks in the engine bay. Trouble with making some things shiny is it now shows up how non-shiny the rest of it is. Specifically how gnarly the old yellowed plastic tanks are. It's no good, they'll have to go

Undertaking the maiden voyage in a classic Alfa that had been off the road for twenty years is always going to be a nerve-wracking experience. To do it over the course of a six hour journey to deliver it personally to the new owner even more so! But the beautiful little thing made the trip without a single issue, battling torrential rain and soup-thick fog. This is the only legible picture I took of the entire mission, on a very cold, very early morning start. The Xantia is making up for it this weekend by insisting 6.5 hours to get to a point where the gearbox can be removed for a clutch change is acceptable and then being built the year they appear to have changed the clutch from push to pull. Not a problem, apart from me having bought a push clutch and that doesn't fit a pull car. Not thrilled by that so my weekend is going to be filled with sorting this out, and helping to replace a lower trunnion on my brother's not-retro Peugeot and finding time to do some artwork commissions. We're set for another busy one!
