Welcome to the forum...!!! RR is a great place to be so I'm sure you'll enjoy it...
Max Power motors really were something very unique so it's always nice to see them out and about clinging on to life as they're so 'of their era'...!!!

My old 205 circa 2004 They might be a bit chavy but way more effort went into cars of the max power era than most cover cars today. Nothing bar the bonnet on my 205 was made for a 205. Everything was modified to fit and remember things like ebay didnt exist!

I wonder if we'll start seeing "Max Power" barn finds in a few years??

The silver Reno 5GTT belonged to Jamie Shaw of Carisma Automotive, was the demo car for his business until he built a mental TVR Cerbera. AFAIK it still exists somewhere, think Jamie might still have it......

This..... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110935667352?redirect=mobile[\img]Is in the back of my mates dads unit. Bought it off the lad that owned it from the max power days. Has been in storage unused for about ten years. He was planning to return it to standard as I believe it was an RS turbo originally. Think he realised it will probably cost more to return to standard than it did to build in the first place though and abandoned it. It's a purple/blue flip colour now and to be fair unlike most cars of the era it had been modified to a very high standard.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!

Poor Project Thunder (Vauxhall Carlton), IIRC a lad from Glasgow won it and then stuffed it into a shop front in the city centre about 3 weeks later :-( Project RS Kicker (Escort RS Turbo) was for sale on eBay a couple of years ago looking pretty much the same as when it was built but suffering from several years of being neglected

I'm sure I saw the 5gtt the other day on a retro renault page on fb.
That tvr from charisma was mad. Every time I went there it was always say in the corner. Doing nothing

The GSi carlton was not done to a high standard.I remember seeing it at Earls court motor show before they gave it away. The yellow paint job looked like it had been chucked on from 5 meters away by Stevie wonder.I was shocked when I saw it.You could still see the original red around the windscreen rubbers.

Wasn't that their first project car?? Probably not a huge budget in the early days, the Corrado they did had some serious money spent on it - didn't they do a Skyline that was a bit of a beast before they shut down???

I think they spent a fortune on the escort rs2000 with a full on F2 Mountune engine.
I wanted the orange mk2 escort with tarmac arches they built for Revs magazine
