Good weekend. Cover off. New tyres. Brakes bled. Unfortunately hasnt solved the sponginess. Put it down to worn master cylinder, which would explain the white smoke. Just sucking brake fluid through the master and combusting it. New one on order so fit and rebleed this week then its 100% done! obviously been leaking a while...

Nice project, the revolutions look perfect for it. It seems 1986 is the best year? Most of the ones on here are 86.

Most of the ones on here are 86. Cheers folks! As for the Revolutions they got sold to a bloke wanting them for a 963 track car, as good as they looked they really needed a bit of arch work and much lowering to look good! I think the Cup 1s look awesome now that they are on Got stuck in the car today. That bloody bodged drivers door handle has something against me and stopped both drivers door handles working. Eventually got the door open and pulled the MK2 handle off. Tape on. Dukes of Hazzard week this week for me.

It looks great Jack. I'm in preference of having some sort of valance personally.
Glad they're finally on and sorted though.

Great work Garthalgar. Your car is looking better and better. I don't like the toast rack wither, but for originality, i keep it on my car. Another option is the turbo diffuser - that would neat on your car.
Any more information on the exhaust? My 944 n/a needs a complete exhaust.

It looks great Jack. I'm in preference of having some sort of valance personally. Glad they're finally on and sorted though. Cheers Darryl. They seem really good so far. Especially on the street, they are really compliant. Then again I only have them set round about the middle! I like the valence but I have seen a few with the rear bumper smooth and no valence and it looks smart. Would rather wait and get the new valence painted along with the front end anyway Great work Garthalgar. Your car is looking better and better. My 944 n/a needs a complete exhaust. Thanks! Did look at the turbo diffuser but can't really be bothered drilling my rear quarters to fit it The exhaust is just from euro car parts. They list the Dansk system as a standard replacement but they are both sport boxes. It's beneficial for folks like us though because you can use all the discount codes on replacement bits not fitted yet obviously but the finish is excellent, and should sound nice!

You've had me looking through ECP on my lunch break. With the discount that they often throw about it's a pretty reasonable system. I might have to wait for a review once you've fitted yours before I take the plunge myself.
Personally I like the rear with no diffuser personally.

Yeah I can actually do the fun exciting noise making stuff now, which is far more enjoyable than fixing broken things. You've had me looking through ECP on my lunch break. Personally I like the rear with no diffuser personally. I'll be able to let you know soon enough, been away last week so not had a chance to get gaskets and clamps etc. Or in fact the will power to lie underneath the car with a grinder haha. Actual physical quality is excellent, just need to know how it sounds! Think the diffuser will stay off until I have nothing else to do, then i'll consider putting one back on

I have a Dansk on mine. I think they sound great. Nice bark off it when you open it up but also it doesn't drone at cruising speed.

Exhaust sounds good! Makes me want to change my box lol Yeah it sounds ace for what is essentially a bolt on job from ECP haha! Everyone that's heard it in person has liked it anyway.

Couple other wee bits. Guy was selling a short shift lever on ebay for relatively cheap. Fancied the idea of being able to use a decent gear knob. Was a bit of a faff to get all adjusted but its on and does feel tighter. Need to make a boot and gaiter now, so at least its given me another few jobs to do! Then just recently i've been really fancying a set of all red rear lights, like a 968. Bought some film and had a go. The indicators are still orange when they flash so i'm leaving it on I've also got to put this for its MOT at the end of this month, but might wait until I get back from my trip to Romania next month and use the bmw to save me having to rush about getting stuff done. It doesn't actually need anything, apart from front tyres, and i'm confident it'll pass to be honest, so we'll see.
