Ford experts - can I find a part number from VIN?

I need to get my gearbox oil and filter changed. But apparently, there are a few different types of filter for the A4LD box, and I'd like to make sure I have the right one *before* I drop the sump and drain all the oil out, rather than order one and found out it's wrong, and end up having the car off the road while I wait for the right one.
So, if I supply my local dealer with the VIN, will they be able to identify the correct filter?

See if you can get all the options and return the wrong ones? JPAT auto transmissions might be able to help too

Ford should still be able to find your car on Etis they can still find my saph on there, so ring them with the reg or chassis number then go from there
