interestingly our passenger door was exactly the same (1969 car) if you move it up to align the back it hits the windscreen pillar at the front, in the end I slit the rear quarter panel vertically just behind the the door and pushed the edge back until it matched the door and seam welded back together. Ours was very well braced during the welding so it was either built like this of deformed during use (it was pretty rusty). It looks like the feature line is not straight, but that is just the angle of the photo.

called in to spuds garage to day to finish of a few bits , so today i run the original fuel line up the car , first time run it the wrong way ,DOH slap my hand , then realised which way it should have gone . replaced the flexi fuel pipe to the tank . then i filled the engine with 4 litres of oil , hand to rerun a handbrake cable to clean fuel line , fit 2 wee things that hold the doors out at the top like wee barrels . then fit new door seal . forgot i needed 2 DOH 2 .lol. so now ready to go to darby for rewire, and hopefully get it up and running so close yet so far but not bad for 8 weeks work , bit by bit

Is this on the wrong side as I am sure it should be straight (all the others I have seen are) or is it just a weird photo trick?

Hi Shielsy I also think the mounting plinth for the rear lights is wrong - the old (small) and newer (large) plinths are angled. Your plinth looks like the ones on Frogeyes and TRs, which are flat. You can get Minor plinths from the regular MM suppliers. (If it is the picture angle I apologise....)
