You really think I'd post a thread on here and botch up a van??? Wise up ffs! But you have done. If it's not seam welded, it's not done right, and you've provided photographic evidence of this. And if it's bad enough to show up in pics on the Internet...... There's an old adage- "quick, cheap, good- pick two". It's fairly obvious which you've chosen. This ^^^ joining panels at a non factory seam/join should be continuously welded ,rather than tacked and pugged over ..

Our minor was a mass of "to mot standard" patches stuck on top of each other, it was a death trap, none of the structural elements were attached to each other and many of the patches could be pulled off yet most of it would have passed the mot, what we haven't seen yet is what you plan to support with it, is there a rothmans liveried escort lurking somewhere?

This looks fantastic, forget about what all the idiots have to say, probably wouldn't know a decent repair if it smacked em in the face! Wrong sponsor stickers though lads Should be....................................................... Upol Easy1 lol lol

I never once denied it looked good and was done in double quick time.
I questioned what appeared to be tacked, ground flat then disguisapon'd repairs.
It's a fair statement to make and a few others picked up on it too, so I'm clearly not alone.
I think the end result looks great, but loads of bogged up beetles looked great in 1990 too, some even stayed looking great till folk dug into what was what.

No you and others saw a pic or 2 of tacked in repairs then saw the first skim of filler and assumed that's all it got, even though all repairs were stitched up more than adequate, ground down and filled to a very high standard! You also assumed they were all like bottom of drivers door which yes has a repair tacked in place after old rust cut out and think it will flex and crack as its improperly done and not strong enough which I'm sure plenty will agree is plums chum.... Anyhooooooo I'm gonna go now and enjoy my Big shiney solid Transit B)

Looks great and unless anyone has seen the full build with their own eyes then I hardly think its fair to comment. You can't get a full idea of the work involved with a handful of pictures.

I asked a question.
You've answered, agreeing I assume by the fact you stated its stitched, that tacks ground flat aren't an acceptable repair.
If you tell me you did it that way, I'm happy to accept it.
I just saw the danger of people seeing tacked and disguised welds and thinking that's ok, hence my querying it

Never commented on this but watched it all the way through, have to say it looks bloody fantastic but it does need an Essex ! Just read the thread through again and the lads said much earlier "today we stitched everything that was tacked on before" I don't see the problem that being the case.

Yes indeed chum pity others don't read everything before making comments doubting your work eh? When most of the haters couldn't lace our body working boots haha! Pathetic
