Same family but the Leagcy. I had the 2.5 estate as my last UK car and badly wanted to bring it with me but sadly, Singapore had other ideas. Quick, comfortable and look good with nice wheels, etc. No idea how they fit with your budget though.

I just bought one of these, apart from having no tax its been a peach. MPG is poor but I couldn't care. Equipment is amazing and at 5'11" I can sleep in the boot. The boot floor raises to be completely flat with the rear deck so its well comfy. Plus the 5 speed with E-shift is pretty derp for an auto. EDIT: the IS300 with the tasty 2JZ might be a wee bit pricey however the IS200 with the manual box will probs be available in that region.

Honda accord aerodeck linkA great car, I had one a while back. Not blistering performance on this Civic but it's quick enough. Stretching your budget but he may haggle. Don't know if it'd take your wheels? Civic Aerodeck VTIIf you could live with an Auto; Mitsubishi Galant Estate

How about a Nissan Stagea, Boxy but has a very tunable r33 or r34 skyline engine as a power plant and is quite a rarity

Not 5x114.3 but I'm fairly sure you'll get an Impreza Turbo for £800. It'll be far from a minter but it will be fun and fast.......until it explodes.

I was just about to suggest one of those. Sure they are available as a bigger 4 cylinder and a V6 too
