Knocked this up: My lust for taxis is probably some sort of fetish. This one is a Toyota CROWN Comfort taxi cruising round HK. It has a crab on it.

because, like the rest of us on here, you're a strange young man. whens the charmant getting a similar scheme? I was actually going to taxi up the Charmant until I got it and realised how good the paintwork was. It felt like it would be a real shame to do it, so I abandoned the idea! However, I keep looking at Carina IIs and early Primeras and the like, base type models in white, saloon models. Keep getting these ideas in my head to buy one around £500, then have madly low suspension which scrapes on even a slight bump, super dished wheels, rolled arches, maybe 5 degrees negative camber on the front..... and 15 degrees on the back!! Then I would paint up the bonnet and boot in black (local taxi scheme), bosh a taxi sign on the roof and park it at the local taxi rank for photos along with the rest of the Avensis and Carina lot.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

The Comfort has got my thinking cap on.... about an hour and a half from here I know where a fresh Japanese import CROWN Comfort taxi is residing, hasn't shifted in months, complete with all it's original Japanese taxi decals, and roof sign/light thing....
I could replicate your idea... as I even have a deep set of Equip 03's!

DO IT NOW!!
As in, right now! GO!
A genuine Comfort with full taxi livery and Equip 03s (and some sort of sneaky Supra Twin Turbo type engine swap) would be one of my ULTIMATE cars.
