Down here it was Silver Spring; "Bing" being the local speciality, very much like Irn-Bru.
I think Corona (every bubble's passed it's fizzical) and Cresta (it's frothy man) were more "national" brands.

Loving that Foden wrecker up there. The pop man of choice where I'm from and grew up (10 miles outside of Durham) was Gray's. Tizer and Irn Bru for me. 😀 You might like these then, both were ours where I worked in the 80’s. I did lots & lots of miles in the 8 wheeler one Yeah. The 8 wheeler is right up my street. What powers those big ones? 😀

This thread makes me sad, we was too poor to afford pop delivery! We were lucky enough to get it from the local "BA Man" (Bon Accord) but christ you'd get a clip round the ear if you were drinking too much, it was severly rationed. It was always the bottle of cream soda that got left until last aswell.

Pickup Brothers; Interestingly, they also developed an open backed style of van which became known as the Pickup truck. Gray's (Anty Gray shown driving for Pickup above);

Gray's (Anty Gray shown driving for Pickup above); Curtesy of Wikipedia The term pickup is of unknown origin. It was used by Studebaker in 1913 and by the 1930s, "pick-up" (hyphenated) had become the standard term.[6]
