Oh, and a friend offered me a free Audi A6, cant say no to an offer like that! Its a 1995 2.8 quattro, with slushbox, and a lot of equipment, gray leather interior, AC, Webasto, etc... Needs new generator (ordered already) and a new coilpack, as it keeps cutting out after being driven a bit. Its got some scabs, but nothing too serious. Worst part is a dent in the rear hatch

Oh, and the Ascona came with brand new brake calipers and discs\pads up front, and the cylinder head has been overhauled aswell. Though i'm not sure how successful the head gasket installation has been, seems like theres oil in the coolant. But that could be from before the gasket change, gonna clean out the cooling system, and see if the issue persists. First thing on my agenda is changing the awful Varajet carb for a Weber 32\36

Looks like you have a weldathon underway - send me your address and I send a pallet load of mojo your way.... PS from a post a long long time ago I've kept all the alloy trims from the Commodore - it's all in good condition very few dinks - how I get these to you I have absolutely no idea at all - I'd like to put them on the pallet of mojo

Lots of old repairs, but it'll make a nice patchwork daily driver, if i can keep up the welding for a few more days! The Commodore shiny bits are pretty brittle yeah, best would probably be if i got my ass to the RR gathering this year! After all my Chevy G20 daily driver has passed the test, did 1500kms with it this easter without a hiccup

Also de-engined this, and sold the engine. Had another laugh at the ducktape sills while i was at it! But i knew about those, had a laugh with the guy i bought it from about them aswell!

Got a little more done! Soon i'll be able to fit the sill, just need to do the little corner bit (decided to leave a previous repair on the inside of the wheelarch, this is a 300 pound car with rust everywhere after all!) then i can fit the wheelarch. And do the inner right wing... And boot floor..... And everywhere else. And i was also reminded what a toxic awful place facebook car groups usually are, no more photos on facebook!

You've got heaps of space there, it's just not being used properly. Go find some old pallets and/or steel and make up some racking. And then find a cheap forklift so you can stack engines on pallets and then stack them on the racking. Boat anchor looks well suited for the job. What's the plan?

No room for a forklift in the really messy section... That being said, all the stuff there has basically just been stuffed in to make room in the workspace, not quite as bad as it looks, hehe... The plan for the Sierra is to sell it, and the rusted out engine is no good, so better to have it removed than to have it still in there, and in the way. I do have a spare 2.9i lying around.....

So instead of doing anything smart, like finishing some of the nicer cars i have, i decided to bolt together some parts that noone wanted to buy.... As you all can see, the car is MINT One of those Green cars you hear about all the time! Just MIGHT need new tires Retro phone company ad! "HAVE A NICE VACATION! Call home and talk about something other than the weather" Varajet II's are UNSELLABLE. This one works, well, it worked the last time i checked. FINGERS CROSSED Engine was disassembled some... 7 years ago? Maybe 8? Still turns nicely, no rust on valves due to applied oil stuff Gasket "renewal" And now i started freezing my off, so this is as far as i got today Still needs some wiring, an alternator, and a battery (and exhaust, bla bla)
