As most will know I've lost the mojo with the Sierra after crashing it again, so I broken the beast for spares. All good thing come it an end and TBH I wanted a change! The Rover although it's a valient run around, it well a bit boring. So it was never more than a stop gap.
I've been on the look out for a replacement RWD steed to fill the Sierra's boot and as if by magic I've been given a Volvo 360 GLT. It's out of MOT and Tax, but as far as I can make out it's a solid car with a good engine and all it needs is a new windscreen to get it road worthy again ;D I pick it up tomorrow figercrossed it's a goodun.
Pics tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

You going to put Venoms on it? EPIC WIN!! I would have to agree with Chris and his taste in wheels here..... ;D Nice one Robin. Lets see some awesome machine created - there are quite a few 360's on here....I'm expecting demanding that yours sets the benchmark for stance and style.

I had one of these a few years ago, before they were cool and you couldn't give them away. 2 litres of overpowered Dutch Volvo for the sliding-the-back-end-really-easily-and-burning-off-bean-can-exhausted-Clios-at-the-lights win. Mucho fun!

My sister had a 360GLT which had been ordered and imported in Norway, I believe. It had an electric socket on the front valence and an extension lead to plug into your house mains electricity which ran a few wee heater elements in the engine oil and coolant, to keep it warm when parked up in arctic weather.

Well, congratulations! My sister had a 360GLT which had been ordered and imported in Norway, I believe. It had an electric socket on the front valence and an extension lead to plug into your house mains electricity which ran a few wee heater elements in the engine oil and coolant, to keep it warm when parked up in arctic weather. As do both my cars and nearly all other cars in Scandinavia...

reckon it will have an 1800 clio rsi in it soon enough? Not in a 360 it won't, maybe a 2.3 Volvo motor though as it's the 340's that have the Renault derived engines in them.

Welcome to the volvo world.
A nice lovely turbo could be added to the engine (as long as it is the 2 litre one).
Cheers Ryan

A nice lovely turbo could be added to the engine (as long as it is the 2 litre one). All 360's were 2 litre. It was the 340's that had the 1.4 or 1.7 engines. Can't wait to see the pics Robin (you lucky Basterd!)

reckon it will have an 1800 clio rsi in it soon enough? If it was a 1.7 I would be pipe dreaming of a 16v clio lump. But as others have said the 2.0 is the volvo engine so it's faily easily swapped for either a 2.3 n/a or a 2.0/2.3 turbo engine. Either way the plan is to get the beast MOT'd, suspension, wheels and welded diff. haha 360s are cool. Look forward to see it robin-ized Got some good idea for potential wheels, 4x100 ;D Can't wait to see the pics Robin (you lucky Basterd!) My mate who owns it atm makes out that its a good car and i've got no reason to disbelieve him. It's just he's back at uni, run out of money/mojo and his parents want the thing off the drive ASAP! It's a 5 dr hatch, pity it's not a saloon one as imo they look ace.

sad to hear about the sierra mate. fully jealous about the free volvo though!
not sure if you heard but lost my mojo a couple of months ago and sold the sunny. it was turning into a money pit!
got a matt black metro as a run about now. was supposed to be bringing it to RRG09 but woke up sunday morning to a hangover and a massive oil leak from a scrape in the sump as the car is 1/2 an inch off the ground!
will pop by halfrauds soon and see the new beast! always thought p-slots would look good on a 360...
