How's that for a dream team?! From BBC Sport: Jenson Button has signed to drive alongside Lewis Hamilton in an all-English line-up at McLaren next season, BBC Sport has learned.
The world champion's move will be announced later on Wednesday.
The confirmation follows news that former world champion Kimi Raikkonen will not race in F1 next year.
The move leaves McLaren with one of the most exciting driver line-ups in F1 and Button facing arguably the toughest challenge of his career.
Button's former team Brawn, who have been taken over by Mercedes, made Button an offer, but the 29-year-old did not consider it acceptable.
His switch means McLaren will be fielding the last two world champions in the same team, Hamilton having won the drivers' title in 2008.
Button's preference for McLaren is not solely to do with money, according to sources. He also believes it is the best option for his career.
After a poor start to the 2009 season, McLaren came back strongly in the second half of the year, while Brawn, after dominating the first third of the season, slipped back in competitiveness as the year went on.
Button's manager Richard Goddard was unavailable for comment.
Brawn emerged from the ashes of the former Honda team, after the Japanese company pulled out of F1 last winter.
Button took a pay cut last winter to help secure the team's future and they went on to win the world championship together in Brawn's debut season.
Now renamed Mercedes Grand Prix, the team have already signed the German Nico Rosberg as one of their drivers.

Rumor has it he was booted out to pave the way for a Shumacher return in whats being called "team Germany". With Identical cars I can't see him giving Hamilton much trouble.

Vanwall Alfa Romeo Maserati Bugatti Imagine a modern Bugatti F1 car! Would be amazing, they could use the F1 engine in their next production sports car or something. It's probably not the first place that VW wants to throw their money, but Porsche have never really had much F1 success so maybe the Bugatti name is what they need?

A mistake me thinks? he'll be shown the way by LH, he well know for only driving well in a car that suits his style and Lewis has a totaly differant style to Jenson, i don't think he'll adapt at all but i live in hope.

At first I thought Jenson as being a bit of a div wanting to leave the team who finally gave him a big break after years of pretty mediocre performances but since I heard about the Brawn buy-out and team Germany, I love the idea of Germany V England.

Well that's a bit rubbish. I have to believe he moved for his career as Mclaren were getting very fast at the end there, but it looks like I'll be giving some bigger cheers for Webber & Vettel this time. I hope Barrichello moves out of Mercedes-Brawn so that I don't have to cheer against him!
Wheres Ferraris line-up? that's what matters most.

Barrichello is with Williams and Alonso and Massa are with Ferrari. Don't bother wasting your breath cheering for Red Bull.....Hamilton will be world champ again next year

mmm , interesting scenario Lewis Hamilton = aggresive / dominant / balls out driver .... Jenson Button = smooth / determined-ish / Damon Hill style of driver..... Great news for the " team Britain " scenario , but not too sure regarding McLaren themselves , A1+ for the Papers / exposure , but i personnally feel they are more interested in that than F1 itself , what with them getting more and more into there road car operation , imho ;D My tip for the F1 CHAMPIONSHIP NEXT YEAR : Alonso + Ferrari ( you don"t have 3 curse word years in F1 , espcially Ferrari )
