Right I'm in a bit of a dilema.... I currently own a red e30 coupe and my mate is selling his 24v cosworth engined p100 that ive put a deposit on because I really want it, but need to sell the e30 to pay the rest off... Now I uncovered the e30 today to wash it and get it ready for its fresh 12 months ticket and started having second thoughts so need a little help on the subject. Ive got another car thats my showy/nice car that I will take to VW shows etc next year(white vento) so I don't really need another showy car more of a toy to abuse every now and then and make look cool etc. So here are the choices: 320i e30 coupe mtec 2, standard, apart from wheels, very very clean, all original bits etc, fairly low miles, lots of service histoy and is a pleasure to drive. Low maintenance. No real tuning ability with current engine would need a conversion to make me happy power wise. OR 24v 2.9 v6, 200hp, gaz coilovers all round, full cosworth granada running gear including all the rear end stuff, cosworth granada seats etc. Goes sideways VERY well, makes an awesome noise, great fun, can be a bit annoying to drive being a bit big for the size of the cab(could be sorted by making the seats sit lower)... Higher maintenance needed, little bit rough around the edges. Plenty of scope for tuning with the current engine. What would you choose?

There's still a fair few E30's left, when was the last time you saw any kind of P100, never mind one with a 24v cosworth conversion.
Which one will you get another chance to own?

Does number of seats make a difference? Pick ups are useful, but unless your using it every day/weekend the way ford intended is it worth having? In my eyes the BMW makes more sense to have and play with.

This is strictly my opinion and I don't mean any offence. e30 is very nice but I still see a lot around so personally I wouldn't look twice but if I was to see the P100 I would definitely look again and again-so it's the p100 from me when was the last time you saw a nice one other than the one in the pics?

your right, would probably never come across another p100 like it but could quite easily find another tec 2 e30 perhaps not so clean but I'm sure one would come up some time.

P100 all day long! no questions.
I'd personally want to transplant a Mk1 Sierra front onto it to give it some real retro looks, but having a powerful, practical, fun....and most of all, unique vehicle wins any day over the E30. Sorry, but that's just the way I would play it.

Always wanted a p100 and when you add cosworth into the same sentence that seals the deal for me.

Steve worth mentioning, number of seats/practicality doesnt matter to me at all as ive got another car but..... the back of the p100 is very useful for holding spares etc for the trackdays/messing about i want to do next year

Following on from my comment about putting the early Mk1 front end on it, I would also want to track down and fit a Sierra Kat bodykit. Now that would be something beyond epic!
Damn, I think I've just dictated another future project for myself!! LOL

Damn, I think I've just dictated another future project for myself!! LOL Hmmm yeah a mk1 front end would be very nice, what would be involved with that I'm not too sure of all the differences? Would i need bonnet, wings, front panel, then the lights grill etc? Or can i get away with less? Sleeperviva : Your quite convincing haha

I think you'd need the wings, bonnet & front panel as well as the lights, bumper & grille - but a small price to pay for something as cool looking as a Mk1 pickup. Then imagine this kit on it: But you're not allowed to do ^ that ^ Kat kit now because I want to! ;D ;D

buy the P100, the 24v is a brilliant engine, much better on the road than its specs would suggest if its been installed properly and in a hooligan P100 it will be soooo much fun, 3 series bimmers are 10 a penny and nothing special, that P100 is one of not many modded ones and will be much more of a laugh to drive.
