A mkII on a K-plate? That's got to be pretty damn rare... Bung a Zetec in it.

Can't be a private reg Kieron - you're not allowed to put a newer plate on an older car. I like mysteries like this. I also like XR2s, and that looks nice as it is tbh!

AFAIk a private reg has to have the prefix older than the original reg of the car, so being that what? "g" reg is the newest mk2? you could only put a "g" or older prefix personal plate on it. which is what cobblers beat to me saying

did ask on here before.. and form what we worked out.. it its proper reg.. think?? it has had couple of p/plates on it before.. and when dvla issued a new plate.. thay gave it a plate from the last year the mk2 could have been registered? which would have been a k plate.. 1992?? anyway.. i am really edging towards having it.. Any links to dropping in a zetec??

Leave it as is, I can't remember the last time I even saw a Mk2 XR2 on the road. Used to borrow a mates with a peco exhaust on it, it was the mutts nuts. I'd definitely trade the 205 in for one of these!

I think Swansea dropped a bollock on that one then. Mk3's were well into their swing by then, started '89 on a G. As said already, it's interesting for the plate alone, although I've just remembered that's going! I can only repeat - drop a Zetec in it FTMFW!!! Oh, before I go, it's got ticket then has it? No ticket, no plate for yer man . . . EDIT - Actually, you could get Mk3's on an F couldn't you? Still '89 though . . .

That's gotta be an age related plate, let him have the plate, get gifted another age related plate from doovla, slam and roll! simples That must have been kicking around in a dealership somewhere while people got over the novelty of having fuel injected Fiestas. Twin choke weber makes a far more satisfactory noise! Be interesting to see the date of first registration on the log book.
