Numax batteries are pretty good budget batteries, not the cheapest but they have a three year warranty, i've never had a duff one.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

I have had some pretty good service from the Halfords batteries - the have a gurantee as well so if it does within 3 years or whatever then just take it back for a replacement.
Might be worth seeing if you have a battery specialist ion your area - picked one up the other day from my local one and was nearly £40 cheaper than the equivilent in Halfords!

I've heard good things about Numax and very good things about Varta.
I have personally had good experiences with FIAMM and Delco (Freedom) batteries. The FIAMM was still working and capable of staring a 1.8 petrol Mondeo after 5 years - despite being brutally boiled by a dead alternator at about 2 years old, after which it took about 1.5 litres of water.

I would steer well clear of Numax batteries if I were you, we run a forklift company so use a hell of a lot of batteries & Numax ones are lucky if they last for more than 8 months, & we have never yet had a warranty claim go through You are much better off spending £20.00 or so more & getting a premium battery such as Varta or Bosch

Worst brand in my experience is Pavillion. Had problems with a new 'Platinum Energy' battery too

See if you can find someone with a Halfords trade card. Saving on batteries is great, seems about 40% off on average so you're getting a pretty good battery with warranty for price of a mickey mouse.

Just go to a local Motor Factors , they generally have range of 2 or 3 year warranty batteries at very sensible prices. In reality, how long does anyone keep a car to wear out the warranty, average life of abattery is 3 years. My old firm used to offer a lifetime warranty on radiators to the original owner ..generous ? Nope, based on the well known fact that most cars get sold every 18-24 months, just like Kwikfits lifetime replacements on brakes.

Varta are very good had one for 10 years+ on a range rover now, Platinum Energy not good
£10 to £15 from the scrap yard usually does me get the biggest thing that will fit the hole - just make sure they hit it with the heavy discharge tester in front of you

if you have a halfords trade card than you cant beat the bosch battery there, in my experience.. An 075 type like you require puts out 600 amps plus has 5 yr guarentee. It costs £113 but i rekon will be less than £70 on trade.
