^^Just goes to show, when you need bad information, consult the parts manual! ;D That's horridly incomplete, and even internally contradictory, as expected, projected, perfected, and interjected by FoMoCo Parts.... .....but they always knew how to make an impressive binder for the phlegm-ed-up mishmash, aka "parts manuals". Yee gads.

I had a mk3 capri 2 litre S and remember the 'box being very "snickerty snick" if you know what i mean, it never broke so i never had to look at the gearbox, deffo felt different to the boxes i was used to although i never tried to find out why i just assumed it wasn't worn out.

Couldn't tell you i'm afraid, used to chop and change cars so often i only remember the reg of some of em, had quite a few capris over the years, possibly S reg but that could have been one of the others.
