Evening. Finally got a van. Not sure exactly how retro, (maybe a bit) but different. It's tiny, slow and doesn't believe in petrol stations. Currently at the sign shop, will end up like this. I'm thinking a set of Cinq alloys and a touch of lowering, or just matt black steels?

Cinq's are awesome!! Lows are good....then combine with some tasty alloys: RSL Cults - AWESOME but rare and expensive Uno Turbo alloys. OEM+ looks...just stunning! (14" instead of the Cinq's 13") Minilites - classic looks and easy to find Novitec Alloys - flipping stunning, flipping rare, flipping expensive. Novitec's other alloys: But best of all.....BANDED STEELS!!

I've never seen a Cinq van - didn't know there was such a thing.
I like the Sporting though - a couple of friends had them when new (they were cheap in '95) and both reported that "there's no way this thing has 55bhp. More like 75".
Where did they go wrong though with the Sicento?

I didn't know there was a commercial version of the Cinq - cool! I hope those wheel trims have been taken to a local clay pigeon shoot and launched! ;D Alloys would look great - maybe black steels on a commercial vehicle wouldn't have as much impact as they would on something you don't expect to see them on... if you know what I mean.

only cinq vans i've come across have been originally registered in ireland, don't know why Taxation (both road tax and purchase tax) varies from country to country, so sometimes oddball models like a sub 1000cc van will be viable in some countries but not in others.

RSL Cults - AWESOME but rare and expensive A classic case of scene tax. I imported a new set of RSL's from Germany in 2002 for my G40. And they were £99 a wheel for a 14". Awesome wheels, should have hung onto them

There was/ still is a loophole here (Ireland) whereby a small car-van like that, and K10 micra vans, starlet vans, fiesta vans, 205s and similar, if taxed as your private non commercial vehicle the same as a normal car, didn't have to do the N.C.T./D.O.E. test ( private car/commericial versions of the UK MOT) because the DOE centre wouldnt test it as it was taxed as a car, but the NCT place wouldnt do it because it's a van.

must say minilights are like the bbs rs of the small car world. look good on anything. (not sure if it was here or on MSC that people where saying that the micra will be a car that's used in other posts lol) wouldn't say no to a pear myself, go for it! Edit: Allthough mind you, i wouldn't say no to a bit of banded action either
